Greetings everyone. This is the area for Characters to be posted. If they aren't posted here then they are ether not playing or are hiding in my GM closet.

Background

Arubey was born on Tantooine and raised by his parent until the age of ten when his Father was killed by raiders. Afterward they left the desert panet and fleed to another in the unexplored region. The death of his Father didn't bother him, or rather he didn't let it show. Something that his regeneration couldn't heal. On this planet wich just had an alphanumericcode of CCLM2 there was an indigonous people with Quills instead of skin or fur, they were lumbering and couldn't speak abyssin, though they could understand basic which Arubey spoke brokenly.

 

After two years Mandalorians found the world and began assaulting it. Arubey fought with the indiginous population in someways being reminded of the stories of his traditional culture. Ultimatly he and CCLM2 were defeated by the superior forces of the Mandalorians, but he wasn't killed, he was taken in by Div Corlin. He found out later that his mother had died in the assault and that, along with is fighting browes, was why he was brought in.

 

Almost a decade passed with Arubey slowly learning from the Mandalorians. He was having a hard time, not from the combat, but from the cultural difference. Almost a decade later he discovered from Div Corlin that he had a half brother lost somewhere in the galaxy called Usrey. Arubey, seeing this person as the last of his family intends to find him, but realizes that if he were to go out into the greater galaxy now he might die. It was then he decided to train at the A'den camp, wanting to prepare himself for any hardship he might find.

Kero-magen was born to the parents of Egen and Kara on Eshen along with her twin bother and sister Jera and Tera. Their parents were freelancers and at the age of eight her family was forced off Eshen by Rek and Quanto as enemies of Bogga the hut. They crash landed on Alderaan where they were recovered by Jedi Knight Ollum. Kero was taken in and trained by the Jedi. During her stay the Echani continued her education in her native culture and began her training as a Shadow. Her master was a wookie by the name of Rishkaa. After six years of training Kero was ready for the Shadow enlistment test. Rishka and Kero went to a fringe world in the Syria Sector rumored to have an Sith academy on it. This planet, Bastieer, was a ice planet just outside the exterior of the Transient Storm. It was here the the rumors were confirmed half true. There was a Sith presence, but it was a lab and there were no students, but a master Sorcerer of the Sith. This darksider was able to capture them both.

 

Kero-magen and Rishkaa were taken to the lab as test subjects. The Sorceror used the ancient art of alchemy to enhance and transmutate the body of Rishkaa. This was done for two reasons. One was to refine the experiment and the other was to turn Kero. She witnessed the untempered, unmedicated horror of the telekinetic surgery and transmuting of organs. Rishkaa died despite her wookie strength and endurance. After a week of captivity and several escape attempts behind her she was stripped of concessions other than food and even that might of been taken from her. However before it came to that she was taken in for experimentation. The Sorceror's goal was to use the Force to make beings to replace the Sith warriors of the Krath Society.

 

Kero-magen was placed on the slab and operated on, the darksider useing a painsoothing technique normally used by healers to keep her from passing out and extending her tolerance. After the operation she hated the darksider even more. She escapped shortly after the operation and found that after three days she found that she grew weak despite her apparent ability to survive the sub-zero temperatures unprotected and ample food from ice fishing. During the fourth day she fell unconsious during the trek and awoke in the presence of her 'creator'. It had turned out that during her enhancements and imbuments with the Force a fail safe of sorts was put in. Her body was made deficient in certain elements of blood plasma, though they are common in most humanoid species. Within a week without the blood of other near-humans or mamillan animals she would grow weak pass out and eventually die or so say 'the creator'.

 

After a year she was indoctrinated into the Krath and wasn't much more than a drone. Shortly after her joining Kero was liberated by another Force-user of unusual stature. And brought to the starship Sirahn . The Echani girl turned drone-like was healed, at least partly by her new rescuer. She developed a code to follow that held some of the age old Jedi Code she had sworn to follow. Eventually the ship made its way to the Syria Sector.

Special Abilities:

Camouflage: Togruta characters possess colorful skin patterns which help them blend in with natural surroundings (much like the stripes of a tiger). This provides them with a +2 pip bonus to hide skill checks.

Spatial Awareness: Using a form of passive echolocation, Togruta can sense their surroundings. If unable to see, a Togruta character can attempt a Moderate search skill check. Success allows the Togruta to perceive incoming attacks and react accordingly by making defensive rolls.

Believed to be Venomous: Although they are not poisonous, it is a common misconception by other species that Togruta are venomous.

Group Oriented: Togruta work well in large groups, and individualism is seen as abnormal within their culture. When working as part of a team to accomplish a goal, Togruta characters are twice as effective as normal characters (ie, they contribute a +2 pip bonus instead of a +1 pip bonus when aiding in a combined action; see the rules for Combined Actions on pages 82-83 of SWD6).

Background

Civ Lail was born on Lankee a recent colony of Shili within the village of Falla. The colony had Republic funding, but a lot of the funding was usurped by Bogga the hut. On Lankee he was in a village that was little past the Fission age with the required buildings like space ports up to modern code. Falla was a neighboring town to one of the few cities that had a space port. The village was economically stressed by protection fees.

 

Civ was raised with Ashla in a poverty striken environment by Deran, his parents sold to slavery and Ashla's parents shrouded in mystery. They were taught as a pair of criminals with Deran as a mentor. At the age of twelve Civ and Ashla began stealing weapons from Bogga's "protectors" and began forming a resistance. The next year Deran was killed by the protection forces in the hopes that what little resistance there was would be toppled. However this only served to bolster the resistance (Shati) as Civ Lail rallied the group and used the story to increase their forces. Eventually over the next year Shati and Bogga's ground forces met at a stalemate. Negotiations followed and an agreement was struck with the stipulation that Ashla and Civ leave Lankee for one in a half standard years.

 

The two left the planet, but were attacked during their outbound flight. They entered hyperspace blindly and energed in the Transient Storm with the ship falling appart. They went into seperate pods and fled the ship and Civ was picked up, Ashla wasn't as her pod was seen floating into the storm. The rescuing ship was the Benevolent Saber.

 

He is now with the Kitsfire organization looking for Ashla while making a living as appart of their group.

Personality:

A betrayer, a killer, an addict, a mercenary . Dante's life took the wrong turn at the wrong time. He could have had a prominent military career but ended up on the opposite side of the law. He now embrace his living, working hard and playing harder, which led him to abuse: alcohol, women, spice, gambling; a destructive path. Yet there is good in him. Behind this facade could rise a hero, if he only knew how to fight his own demons.

He loves his ship and career, his own symbol of freedom, detachment from all. He does what he does more for the excitement, adventure and thrill than for the money, but large some are always in his contract. He's after all a businessman.

 

 

 

Son of Merchants in a Refueling Orbiting Space Station, in the Core worlds, life as a teen soon grew boring. Dante found entertainment in spacer tales and witnessing the occasional bar fights. Early in his teen, his family started to struggle and he found out it was because his dad had gathered plenty of gambling debt, addiction he had hidden from his family. His parents separated. Within a year, his mom remarried to a abusive man. Dante would regularly get a beating and all he wanted was to leave the station. He made it planet-side and applied for the local military service. His high grades in both marksmanship and piloting gave him high hopes to get in the Republic Navy. Everyone knew he would. But on the day of the drafting tests, Dante got stuck in a defective turbolift for an entire day. Angry and unwilling to stay on the planet an extra year, he deserted. With little money and nowhere to go, he started roaming the space lanes.

 

Within a couple of years he got recruited in a high rating mercenary team whose methods were direct and efficient. They trained him well and gave him a sense of belonging. He strove in this environment, putting in good use what he was good at. He learnt a lot, becoming both physically and mentally strong. He fought in many skirmishes, often hired to do the dirty work local governments didn't want to associate with. Life was good. He even got a durable love affair.

 

After several years, The team was sent on a mission that turned bad. Several members perished in the assault of a heavily armed compound. Dante was the first to make contact with the target, only to find his own lover by the man's side. The target offered a large sum of money and an way out, if Dante would help them get rid of the rest of the team. He went to kill the man but his powerpack suddenly depleted, and quickly realized his martial arts skills were no match compared to this mysterious man. Rest of the team's arrival interrupted the fight and the target disappeared, leaving Dante's lover to engage the team in a gunfight. Failing to persuade either side to stop shooting, Dante picked the girl's side and got forced to kill the rest of his teammates. The fight ended, but before he could get any explanation, the girl shot him. He got a severe wound on the shoulder, that still bother him to these days, and was at the her mercy. But instead of ending his life, she gave him a case, "his part of the deal" like she said. She disappeared the same way the mysterious man had, and that was the last of her. Dante had done his part of the deal, getting rid of his teammates and have the two escape. The case was full of credits. He had kill his own family for credits, and got shot by the woman he loved.

 

With a good chunk of money and a self made loneliness, Dante purchased a ship to start trading. But it turned out the ship was a piece of junk. Failure after failure, problem after problem, she cost him three times her price just in maintenance. To save on costs, he turned into smuggling. But as he tried to outrun a custom ship, the ship engines failed and he got caught. It wouldn't have been too bad if a powercore in the maintenance hatch didn't have blown up during boarding, injuring an officer. A straight ticket to Jail.

 

The prison was tough on him. Hard labor, rough guards and regular inmates fighting were his daily chores. He would have gone insane if not for the strong mental his training had given him. A couple years into his sentence, a Jedi was brought in; a dark one apparently, some whispered he was Sith. High security measures, high risks. Dante saw his opportunity. The man had the skill and power to escape, all he needed was a little incentive, and little help, that Dante would offer. And follow suit on the escape.

When someone attempt to escape they head for the exit, not the high security area. It took everyone by surprise. After initiating a small riot, Dante dashingly made his way to where the Sith was locked in, and managed to free him. The two then made there way to the hangar bay and escaped, the powers of the Jedi helping greatly, his own piloting skill finishing the task.

 

The Sith was never heard of since though. Story has it he got killed before making it to the next star system. Some rumors would even go as far as the Sith taking the place of his rescuer. But those are stories.

 

Dante made his way to the Frontier Worlds. There, few would care about his unlawful past. For some times he worked with a few crews, either as pilot, security or just cargo loader, until he caught the attention of an old influential smuggler. He helped Dante set up a business for himself and purchase a decent ship; he even taught him to work around his streak of bad luck.

Dante has been roaming the fringe ever since on board the Serenity, prospering as a smuggler and gunslinger. Now the galaxy is at war again, and he knows war time bring good business for his kind. He ended up lately in the Syria Sector and has been looking for some business opportunities.

Personality:

As a member of the secretive Baadu Order, Gyn is a follower of a philosophy similar in nature to the theory of the Unifying Force, and as such does not really believe in the Light and Dark sides of the Force in the traditional sense. He does still believe in good and evil but thinks that one's motivation for using the Force are more important then what you do with it once you call upon it, a very interesting trait for one who has been added to the ranks of Jedi Shadows and charged with rooting out Dark Side corruption. Very much a creature of instinct, he prefers to live in the moment and fly by the seat of his pants as opposed to planning things out ahead of time. This trait made him one of the more proactive members of the Jedi Order as he is not one to sit around meditating over such trivial things as cause and effect when there was obviously a job to be done. While many of the traditionalist masters thought this behavior was reckless, his own teachers the Jedi Shadow Naomi Seiryuu and the Baadu Master Seras, worked to further cultivate this trait. Believing it to actually be his greatest strength and essential to following the way of the Unifying Force. On the other hand though, because of his displayed behavior patterns and the fine line he walks as a follower of this philosophy he constantly finds himself questioning whether or not he is truly acting for the right reasons. His greatest fear is inadvertently corrupting himself despite his good intentions and becoming consumed by his own inner demons, thus “Falling to the Dark Side” and eventually becoming that which he has spent years trying to stop in one way or another.

 

On the surface Gyn comes across as cocky and unfocused, usually spending his time cracking jokes or making sarcastic remarks as he makes his way through any given situation. On the inside however he is a deeply caring and complex individual, albeit somewhat insecure. He cares very much for those who he considers friends and loved ones, holding them in the deepest regard and and will go to great lengths to help them out whenever possible, including listening to their problems. This same trait does not hold true in reverse however, as he is usually unable to share any of his problems with others. Preferring instead to keep his own issues internalized and work through them on his own. This tendency tends to worry those who know him well, as they're afraid that one day his bottled up issues might come to the surface and become his undoing in some fashion. In these troubled times however, such a compassionate personality doesn't really fit in and can often be exploited by those with less then noble ideals. Thus he has taken to hiding his true nature from those outside of his small circle of friends and trying to do what he can behind the scenes as he hides behind his cockier half.

 

He tends to try and be the comedian of any group he is in, using his joker/flyboy persona in an attempt to keep troubling situations from getting overly gloomy with sarcasm and variable qualities of jokes. This is especially true in situations where he feels nervous or threatened, as humor is his default coping mechanism under stressful conditions. He is not afraid to speak his mind if he feels that what he has to say needs to be heard, regardless of who he may be talking to. This has had the unfortunate side effect of putting him at odds with a couple of his less then open-minded peers on more then a handful of occasions.

 

He also possesses a bit of a competitive streak, using others as a comparative benchmark for which to gauge his skills and then setting his goals to surpass them. While this trait allowed him to quickly rise through the ranks and emerge near the top of his class, it can also be exploited as a weakness and has been known on occasion to cause Gyn to push himself past his limits and into some really dangerous situations. Aside from his unusual philosophical beliefs, he has also inherited the seemingly engrained Correllian distaste for the odds and love for piloting that has driven so many of like him and his teacher into a state of wanderlust among the stars and to places far beyond. On the flip side of that however, he also displays the stereotyped dislike for elitist personalities, and finds himself somewhat easily annoyed by people who insist on constantly correcting him for no apparent reason. In recent times he has come to rely heavily on his intuitive piloting skills as he suffers from a mild case of dyscalculia, a learning disability similar to dyslexia only dealing more with numbers, which can often prove detrimental to a pilot due to the complex calculations sometimes required to operate a modern ship. These intuitive skills have saved his life on more then one occasion due to quick reactions or guidance from the Force.

 

One of his more unusual characteristics is the way in which he expresses anger. In keeping with his internalizing nature, he has a habit of turning his anger and frustration inward, becoming quieter and more level sounding as the feelings increase. This has led to several interesting situations, especially during the troubled period of his school career, in which the person who was causing him frustration (usually a bully of some sort) failed to realize that they were doing so and continued to egg him on thinking that he was backing down due to his seemingly docile temperament. As a result they were greatly surprised when he would finally lash out and defend himself or whoever it was that he had stepped in to help. This trait does have its darker side however, as all that internalizing can lead to an impressive build-up of frustration. And as with most build-ups, it must be vented somehow or else it will cause damage to the vessel containing it. This means that when Gyn does finally snap and lash out at an aggressor, he does it in a particularly swift and brutal fashion. It is this tendency combined with the pig headed and elitist attitude of one of his peers which led to a small incident during the last part of his training. Aside from that though, there haven't been any real problems with his temper since his enlisting in the ranks of the Jedi Shadows.

 

Having been raised by a warrior culture and born on a world devastated by war, he is no stranger to conflict. The social problems he experienced during his primary school period have cultivated within Gyn a strong dislike for bullies and other people who abuse their power. This has caused him to develop the habit of sticking up for the little guy and trying to protect those around him from abuse. It was this trait that eventually led him to apply for training as a fighter pilot prior to his recruitment to the Shadows, hoping to find himself on the front lines and become the sword that defended his home should the worst happen and the current peaceful state of things collapse. Despite having a general dislike of violence, he is more then willing to go that route to solve a problem if he believes that its justified, and to that end has made sure that he is more then proficient in numerous ways of defending himself. This has gotten him into trouble several times in the past, but has not deterred him from his wish to do what he can to improve the current state of things. A trait which has been attributed to his late grandfather and one that his mother sometimes wishes that he hadn't inherited quite so strongly.

 

It is all of these factors which have earned him the callsign “Katana.” His unusual temper which has been described as being cool as steel, and is partnered with a stubborn will which is just as strong. His finely honed and potentially deadly combat skills, including years of training with the weapon from which the nickname is derived, which he won't hesitate to employ at a moments notice should he feel that they are warranted. The fine line he walks as both a Jedi Shadow and member of the Baadu Order, and finally his theoretically razor sharp wit. Which in reality has been known to fall short on more then one occasion but never fails to draw a laugh from his peers, even if they are just laughing at his failed attempt at humor.

Background:

Born on the Echani homeworld of Eshan, Gyn was raised by a poor family of farmers. Despite their impoverished lifestyle his parents loved their son dearly and did everything they could to provide for him in every way possible. Raised on tales of the great and noble warriors and heinous villains, the young boy dreamed of one day distinguishing himself in battle using the ancestral arts of his clan and earning enough prestige to take his family to the city and save them from the pains of life as a peasant. Fate has a peculiar sense of humor however, for when he turned six years of age a group of Mandalorian raiders came to his village and demanded tribute in exchange for their protection. Outraged by such a bold insult to their people and culture, and being a man of great courage and even greater ideals, Gyn's father convinced his fellow villagers to stand up against their would be oppressors and led them in a revolt against the bandits. Despite their strong cultural martial skill and having caught the bandits off-guard, the farmers simply lacked the necessary experience and equipment to best them in battle, and as a result both sides were almost completely massacred in the fighting with their blood thirsty opponents.

 

Realizing what was happening and despite being severely wounded, Gyn's mother fled the village with her son as the few remaining bandits began to burn it to the ground. They ran through the night and into the morning before they reached the point where his mother could no longer continue and was forced to surrender to her wounds. As she lay dying she implored her son to leave her behind and continue running before they were captured and made into an example by their pursuers or brutally slaughtered in a fit of vengeance. Now alone, unable to avenge his home or even provide his fallen family with a proper burial, the young boy fled deeper into the woods in the hopes of evading his pursuers and finding somewhere safe to hide until he could figure out what to do next. He was on the run for almost a week before he came upon his would be savior and the man who would prove to be one of the more influential figures in his early years, as well as one of his more helpful teachers: N'rnn Holt, leader of the Crimson Gundarks swoop gang.

 

For the next few years he stayed on with the Gundarks, coming to think of them almost as family while learning the ways of the rogue and earning himself a small reputation as a skilled swoop racer. They passed the time making a living as outlaws, a small scale robbery here, a rigged game of chance there, the usual sorts of things one would expect in their line of work. Eventually they expanded into mercenary work and even a little bounty hunting, but call for this was fairly limited seeing as they didn't possess a means of getting off-world. The more they did the more Gyn began to feel that things weren't right, that the Gundarks were squandering their limited resources on foolish things and in the process becoming more and more like the Mandalorian raiders that had driven him from his home. At the age of thirteen he challenged N'rnn for leadership of the gang, defeating him in one-on-one combat and assuming his position at the top. From that day forward he changed the focus of the Gundarks, using their skills and resources for the betterment of those around them and becoming the unofficial protectors of their sector. They still continued to ply their various underhanded trades, but now it was to keep up the necessary resources to keep others from suffering the same tragedy that their leader had, not entirely for personal gain.

 

A couple of years passed and as his prowess grew through daily training and numerous street brawls, so did his reputation. Eventually word of his accomplishments reached the authorities and the Jedi Watchmen charged with protecting the region, sparking the interest of some of the sentients there, specifically the Watchmen's recently knighted apprentice. Intrigued by the stories she'd heard, she decided to head out to Eshan herself to see if what she had heard was true. What she found, while not what she was expecting, did not exactly disappoint either. She found the object of her search just as he was in the middle of one of his interventions. As she watched him fight she could see the raw potential that was buried beneath the surface, his techniques were crude and unrefined, sure signs of having been mostly self-taught due to incomplete training, but once one was able to see past that you were able to see the seeds of true talent which were hidden underneath. Following the fight she approached the young man in the hopes of recruiting his talents. The two of them got to know each other fairly well over the next few days, and after listening to the child's story, she took pity on him and offered to take him under her wing as her first apprentice on the one prevision that the boy did not hinder her journeys in any way, saying that with what she and the others could teach him he would be even better equipped to protect those who were unable to protect themselves. Dazzled by the weapon the woman carried, and realizing that she was a Jedi Knight, Gyn agreed to the woman's terms and began to follow her as her unofficial student. The two of them wandered their corner of the galaxy for almost a year before he ever even set foot in an academy as his master quested for ever stronger adversaries and the source of the growing Sith rumors.

 

The training was hard, and on several occasions he was tempted to give up and return to his old life amongst the civilian populace, but his new friends among the other initiates in the region would have nothing of it, specifically a Pantoran girl by the name of Yumi Férn who was his closest friend and confidant. Yumi's strengths lay more in the sciences and the spiritual aspects of the Force, while his were more focused into the martial arts and specifically the use of the lightsaber and the physical aspects of the Force. She was always experimenting with new techniques and building strange little gadgets, but despite this the two of them shared a like temperament and sense of humor, soon becoming close friends as they shared the experience of training together.

 

There were problems for Gyn outside of his training as well however, as adjusting to his new life amongst the Jedi proved to be harder than expected. The raised tensions between the Mandalorians and the Republic caused an undercurrent of mistrust to creep into people’s lives and a rise in hostile sentiments as the galaxy began edging towards open war. Although most of the galaxy's citizenry were more than willing to accept the various and diverse cultures who lived among them, there was a small group who blamed all warrior cultures for the rising tensions and loss of life that was coming about as a result of the Mandalorian Crusades, and these prejudices were eventually picked up on by their children and even some of the students as some of the more rash Masters began thinking along the same lines. As the only warrior born student in his class and a native of a race known to be at odds with Mandalore to boot. The rise in tensions had a snowball effect with Gyn’s tendency to speak honestly and caused him to make a few enemies at the academy he was attending who harassed him almost constantly. Most of these incidents took place off academy grounds due to the constant surveillance of the faculty and as such went unreported and unpunished. This would continue until his tormentors were either dismissed from the Order or taken on by various Masters, but even after it had stopped his record of disorderly conduct continued as he took on a new challenge: preventing the bullying of others.

After his experiences earlier in life and at the academy he had become fed up with the whole situation and couldn’t stand by and watch other people getting pushed around by those who were stronger than they were and thus began to slide back into the old patterns of conflict which had led him to take over the Crimson Gundarks. Both Naomi and Yumi decided that they had seen enough and concluded that the problem Gyn faced was a lack of focus and discipline in his life and decided to take steps to try and help him stop getting into trouble. Under order from his patrons Gyn began to look into the various extracurricular activities offered by the academy and after careful consideration decided to try and get in touch with his family’s ancestral history by joining the history and fencing clubs respectively. In addition to this he wished to ensure that he was capable of protecting himself when unarmed and thus began studying various forms of martial arts, namely the forms used by the Jedi Battlemasters, and continuing his studies in his native Echani styles. He also devoted numerous hours of study to the art of the draw-strike known as Battōjutsu, and to the use of the less well known Jedi Katana. Yumi’s idea was a bit more subtle, she asked him to help her with her volunteer work down at one of the civilian orphanages located near the edge of city nearest the Jedi compound in the hopes that spending time there helping to care for the children would give him some happiness and a place to get away from the harsh world he had created for himself at academy. All of these ideas helped Gyn learn the confidence and discipline necessary to handle a situation calmly and guide him off the troubled path he had been on while refocusing his energies onto something less self-destructive. As a result his grades improved and he found other means of protecting others that stopped getting him into trouble and cause his teachers to fear for him. They were still less then thrilled with all of the time he was spending on martial training, but they were understanding of his cultural heritage and understood that for him combat was closer to a form of expression and not the quest for power it was for some of their other students.

 

Upon graduating from padawan status, Gyn was assigned to one of his sponsor’s closest friends to serve as an aid for their Watchmen duties. He quickly rose through the ranks as his skills improved, soon attaining the honored position of Jedi Knight and finding himself transferred over to the Jedi Shadows at the request of his new commander due to his advanced proficiency in the martial forms and his past experience with the underworld. It was at this point that he truly began to develop his own style of fighting, specializing in the use of highly acrobatic precision strikes and advanced martial techniques taken from both the Jedi and Echani. This allowed him to seemingly come at his opponent from all angles through a combination of speed and deception. Life was going well for Gyn, he'd earned the respect of his peers despite his unusual appearance, he'd brought his fighting skills up to a whole new level which allowed him to protect even more people then he ever could have hoped. He'd even been added to the list of potential master candidates when he was old enough for that honor, and then it all came apart.

 

The fall of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma tore the Jedi Order apart at the very core. Dispatched to defend the Rim and protect the sentients there, Gyn rushed to the aid of those he had once sworn to protect. Their deployment had not been quick enough however, as the entire area was already swarming with hostile forces lost in a sort of feeding frenzy as they made a mad grab for territory. He and his unit fought desperately to defend the Outer Rim territories, fighting on long after the order to retreat had been given, but in the end their efforts were not enough and countless lives were lost to the enemies' insatiable hunger for power.

 

As the situation began to deteriorate more and more, the Jedi began to turn on their own, seduced by the powers of the Dark Side and the silver tongue of Exar Kun. Caught in the middle of the chaos as Masters turned on their allies and their subordinates, Gyn found himself cutting down men and women he had considered friends and family for more then two years as all that he had worked so hard to protect imploded from within. Allying himself with his former Master he was forced to detach himself from his emotions and become a living weapon in order to survive, killing his own kind in the vain hope of ending the strife around him and restoring balance to the Force. It was also during this time that the Mandalorians made their move, taking their war with the Republic to the next level as they came to the aid of the Sith and bringing yet more death and destruction in their wake. Now forced to fight a war on two fronts, Gyn became even more withdrawn, realizing that if things were to continue on as they currently were there was going to be no end to the fighting. Eventually however the Jedi were able to push back the Sith and their allies to the lands from whence they’d come and begin the process of rebuilding. Gyn however would have nothing to do with that process as he was destined to leave the Order behind in search of redemption for the sins he’d committed during the galaxy’s time of civil war. Following the conflict, Gyn took to the wanderer's path on a form of walkabout, hoping to find a way to atone for the deaths he had caused and give meaning to the lives of all those who had died at his hand, while at the same time trying to reclaim the humanity he had lost. Even on the road he continued his training, seeking new levels of power and skill as he worked to try and make the lives of anyone he came across just a little bit better. His journey took him to all corners of the galaxy before eventually leading him to a Twi'lek woman by the name of Seras and the order of the Baadu.

 

With the aid of Seras and her teachings he was able to confront and at least partially subdue his inner demons through the Force, thus regaining his resolve and one of the strongest and most sought after abilities known… the power to wield both sides of the Force equally via careful control and meditation. Feeling that he owed Seras for what the Baadu had done for him, and beginning to once again feel the sense of kinship he had once experienced back during his days in the Jedi Order, Gyn decided to stay on with them and help protect his new home. Since then he has found his niche working as an unseen protector of those less fortunate then himself and working to better the lives of those he has sworn to protect. His training as a Shadow keeps him ever vigilant of Dark Side influences, his new understanding of the Force aiding in his quest to prevent the tragedies of the past from repeating themselves as the Republic attempts to rebuild.

Despite not having encountered anything slug like or squirmy since coming under the protection of the Jedi Temple the fear from childhood is still with you buried in your memory.

Lesser Allergy- Smoke and heavy dust- Narshadaa a great place to learn how to survive, how to interact with thoes trying to get by under the sensors. However it's not so good for children growing up. The deathsticks and ocassional graney spice both without and ocassionally within the White Fuse of the Smuggler's Moon has had an adverse, but minor affect on you body. Ocasinally when in a dusty or smoke ridden area you go into coughing fits or more minorly a period of watery eyes and runny nose as your body tries ademently to reject what it percieves as undesierable. If you fail a stamina roll or are in a particularly dense area difficulties are increased by 3.

Bacta Sickness [3]- While bacta isn't wide spread due to it's high cost the Healers at the Order have recomended that you only use Bacta in emergancies. While it has its standar miraculus effect on you, your body starts getting ill as an after effect usually lasting several hours or a day depending on the quality and amount of Bacta. You are at a -1D to actions for 2 hours then at a +5 difficulty for a following 2 hours. This assumes standard quality Bacta.

Nella Palmetto, the mother of Xanthe, was a dancer turned compulsory Hitwoman of the Great Boga the Hut. Nella's sister, Xerah became a 'guest' of Boga's ship, specifically the entertainment deck. The elder sister, Nella, made a deal to work with the Hut to work off her sister's contract. During her final mission, something she knew was a lie, Nella encountered a Zeltron Doctor of Darkness named Riin. Riin was a dealer of strong drugs used to enhance certain intimate experiences of the more hardy species. Drugs of this caliber would kill other beings and in sufficient doses those of the sturdy races it was meant for.

 

The two teamed up and concocted a plan that would involve Riin, Nella and Xerha. Nella would use her ability to report to Boga to give her a chance to give an especially potent enrichment drug to Xerah. Xerah would place the drug on Boga during one of her time as a slave girl spectical. The plan worked with only a minor kink. The three Zeltron escaped in the chaos in Boga's seizures and stillness. The only problem being that Boga didn't die, the drug wasn't strong as to overtake a Hutt's constitution swiftly enough for medical science to be ineffective.

 

Since they've fled a price of 100,000 credits has been put on their heads. However the renown gotten from this brave attempt has gotten them friends in high places. The three, Nella, Xerah and Riin established a bar, Crystal Fuse, on Narshadaa under the watchful eye of Shen Gai, a Chadra-Fan. However his eye costs the group a quarter of their profits. Years later Xanthe was born from the coupling of Riin and Nella.

 

Xanthe spent the first seven years of her life as the Fuse's mascot, taking drinks and foods to people. When she was eight she felt compelled to leave the White Fuse. She felt despair from somewhere. Being a Zeltron she doesn't like negative emotions, Xanthe wanted to help this person feel better... if she could find them.

 

Leaving the White Fuse behind heading out into the Smuggler's Moon the young Xanthe followed this extended sense. She traveled past gambling dens, vehicle shops, across streets in the darkened atmosphere of Narshadaa. She wasn't afraid, just focused on finding what she was feeling... speders were avoiding her anyway. The Zeltron sense of the situation got more detailed as she was searching. It felt like the feeling of despair was coming from a dark place and danger was saturated in the air as if it had been a lengthy and still present presence. After traveling what felt like days, but was in fact a few hours, Xanthe found a junk yard that must of been kilometers away from the Fuse. It was here that other feelings flowed into her, feelings of threat, but not from the boy in a dark place. Continuing foward she found the boy in a dark corner surrounded by junk. He was corned in by Krath hounds. Now fear filled her at seeing these fierce hounds, but the young one swallowed and tapped into some more pleasant feelings nearby to flush the current negative bombardment. Throwing whatever was nearby seemed to work as a distraction for the hounds. While they tore at the objects that must of had meat scraps in them Xanthe took the boy, which turned out to be a strange Nagai, away from the junkyard and played with him to cheer him up and to sooth her own nerves. The strange Nagai wounded up following Xanthe back to the White Fuse. Later that year the Palmetto family and business, plus Nonai the Nagai, moved to Onderon for reasons that where beyond Xanthe's fathoming.

 

At the age of nine she, her family and her new friend Nonai were now on the planet Onderon within the city of Iziz under the ruler ship King Omin and Queen Amanoa. As she grew up to fourteen years she had been a bartender with an uncanny ability to read emotions, even for a Zeltron. At the beginning of the assaults from the beast riders and uprising in sith activity Xanthe stays in the new White Fuse keeping the patrons calm with both enlightening drinks and her demeanor. This lasted until a Sith battle spilled into the bar. Onderonians and tourists scattered and cut down in the clashing of combat. Her parents pulled pulse-wave rifles from behind the bar to aide the jedi in his fight. In the ensuing battle a distortion blast was reflected through the use of some power and incapacitated both Riin and Nella with the latter loosing her left arm chuncked in warp space. Xanthe stumbled over the bodies picking up a lightsaber from a fallen body. She moved to attack the Sith and was deftly defended against, but the next attack hit home due to the interference from a strange goop trying to envelope him. The Sith fell and stabbed Xanthe in the leg, she removed and stowed the blade as a backup in case she was robbed of the stolen lightsaber.

 

Now, though she was concentrating on this goopy blob.It quivered and retreated into a humanoid shape, a shape recognized as Nonai. He quivered despite his return to the form of Nonai and Xenthe sensed a combination of fear and not understanding. After comforting the Protean turned Nagai she fortified the White Fuse.

 

After the small war on Onderon her parents received medical attention and afterward a jedi confronted them, it was in fact the same jedi that had fought the sith that Xanthe killed. After some initial suprise Nella and Riin approved on the condition that they travel with her to continue her cultural growth instead of immersing her in pure jedi belief. With a 'discussion' lasting several hours long the Jedi allowed the parents to act as advisers as long as it didn't interfere with Xanthe's training.

 

Xanthe was, with her folks, moved to Ossus. Time passed and when she was fifteen she was assigned to Jedi Master Kur'an a female Trianni. It seemed as if Kur'an had been specifically instructed to curb Xanthe's natural tendency to 'involve' herself with the various males at Ossus. When she was finally confronted it was explain, not as a slight to her society, but as a distraction to the learning of young Jedi why many, despite being trained to have an open mind, may misinterpret or be unduly harmed, intellectually or emotionally by a Zentrons polygamous nature. With the confrontation in the past she tried to curb her own activities and to an extent it worked.

 

The next year she was sent off to her Knight Trial with her Nonai followed as a companion keeping his form as a Nagai. Xanthe, having been trained to be a peace maker she was sent to Ryloth. The Twi'lec clan Donetta was in heavy conflict with the minor clan of Kyth lead by Maylon Kyth. Recently the Kyth clan has been accused of stealing and killing, specifically the killing of Shen Vayla a historian, in and around the Ancient Temple of MY'ker which resided on the Sun side of the world.

 

While in rout to Ryloth Xanthe Palmetto finished construction of her lightsaber, one with a deep purple blade. The rare crystal was found in the hilt of the blade she was stabbed with years ago. After arriving on Ryloth the Zeltron swiftly began her investigation asking first in the clan Donetta then in the clan Kyth. Eventually a meeting was scheduled between the clan leader along with guards to be mediated by Xanthe in the MY'ker temple. During her investigations she found several clues and even evidence that the Kyth clan was responsible, but she was going to use this meeting to find out why and then use that to come up with some kind of treaty or arrest warrant if necessary.

 

The gathering of the clan leaders began nicely, but ended in the fear inspiring revelation of the why behind Maylon Kyth's and his clans actions. Near the end of the negotiations one of the Kyth guardsmen used the Force to activate a mystical device called The Amulet of The Void worn around Maylon's neck. It threw out mind crippling waves in the Force while pulling at the life essences of everyone in the area. Swiftly Xanthe sensed the on coming wave of twisted Force energy and threw up a barrier around herself, Nonai and Donetta Twi'lecs. But when the wave made contact with her protective Force she found them being dissolved, she was spreading her power to thin... she'd have to sacrifice protection, she'd have to prioritize. With a heavy heart she weakened the protection around herself and completely dispersed the protection from the guards to focus it on the Donetta leader and Nonai. They fled the temple until she was confronted by the guardsman that activated the Amulet of Void, a Twi'lec with blue skin and red tattoos holding a lightsaber with a pale blue blade. It was as if the blade was reflecting the diminished spirit withing its wielder. She and Nonai stayed to delay the Sith Warrior while the Donetta clan leader retreated.

 

The fight was long with blows of Force and Saber being exchanged. The fight lead into the temple where the battle began collapsing sections of it. As the three fighters grew tired and woozy from wounds and strain from near constant use of Force the unthinkable happened. The dark Twi'lec sliced lower part of Xanthe's lightsaber extinguishing its blade. She dodged several slashes and thrusts and was about to get ran through until Nonai somewhat successfully rammed her foe causing his thrust to over extend past his Jedi opponent and she fluidly, without thinking, removed his saber from his hand and continued in a circle to impale the blue Twi'lek in the side with his own weapon. She felt the Force ebb as his life fled him. Tossing his tainted Saber hilt to the ground she and Nonai returned to the Donetta clan.

After returning and discussing solutions they both agreed that Maylon Kyth had to be stopped, though Xanthe's goal was incarceration Donetta's was clearly death. Heading towards the recorded location of the Kyth's clan holdings on the cold, sunless side of Ryloth the soon to be knight felt a twisted wave in the Force close by, landing the borrowed clan airspeeder in a nearby clearing to investigate. Here she and Nonai found Maylon and his guards. Realizing that she couldn't act as brazenly without her Lightasaber she momentarily berated herself for discarding the Sith saber earlier. That didn't last, however with Nonai pouring calming and pleasant emotions in her direction. As she observed the guards a thought occurred to her, focusing on one of the guards pulse packs she used the Force to pull it out of the back pouch and to her. Using a simple utility kit she rigged a power wire from her damaged Saber-cell to the pulse pack. Forcing the feeling of apprehension away with Nonai's soothings Xanthe reached out to sense other guards outside of her sight. Moving through the glowing plants she incapacitated the guards through dismemberment and rendering them unconscious with telekinetic slams.

 

Finally confronting the Kyth leader Maylon she offered him a chance to surrender and even used the Force and her own Pheromones to calm him. But this had no effect as neither anger or other negative attitude was his motivation, only a want to have Ryloth self sufficent and not subservient to others like the Galactic Republic or crime lords. When the fighting began it was only a matter of getting close, but when she hit Maylon's leg with her saber, its purple blade diffused and shut off. A metal was underneath his pant leg, pure cortossis. The battle moved to hand to hand combat for several minutes, something that the Zeltron wasn't as versed in. However her rigged lightsaber eventually reignited and began going for joints and wrists area's where cortosis couldn't as easily be placed. Though slowed by bruises and wounds she removed his left hand. It was then that he used the dark Amulet of Void. Xanthe remained largely unaffected by the barrage and pulls of twisted waves of Force thanks to the reinforcement of Nonai, however Nonai himself was battered, his defenses focused on his comrade and he stumbled backwards, confused, scared and unable to maintain his shape.Nonai slowly started to loose his shaped clothing, then skin tone and ultimately his humanoid shape, becoming a blob of quivering bubblegum pink. The fight lasted for an indeterminable amount of time anywhere from minutes to hours, but it came to a conclusion when the dark purple blade of Xanthe's lightsaber sliced the amulet, having it fall into it's component pieces. She used this clear defeat to capture him. Retrieving the unformed Nonai in a large thermal canteen she took the Force bound Maylon Kyth to the Donetta clan and convinced them to give him an unbiased trial. While the trial was in fact slightly biased the Kyth clan got off light or rather that was the opinion of most of the Twi'leks, the sentence was a clan wide exile from Ryloth.

 

Shorlty after her return to Ossus it was found that Nonai couldn't resume a humanoid form. Over the next year Nonai was scanned and treat with therapy, but even then he could only resume his Nagai form for short periods of time, now until he can overcome his Force induced trauma he has taken the shape of a Cracian Thumper. A form he considers most useful and will rarely shift out of. He maintains the ability to talk, though he will usually only speak to Xanthe in whispers or at a more conversational level when alone. Additionally the fragments of the Void Amulet were given to the Order and it's components were scattered, given to trusted Jedi to keep separate. Xanthe was given the Blood Amulet, the third part of the amulet set.

 

On her eighteenth year she elected to head off to the Fringe of space, allowing the Force to guide her. She found herself on a transport heading to the Syria Sector. The Force wouldn't divulge why, but that was it's way...
