  1. So WASTELAND, pretty much inspired me at a very young age to start developing my own game worlds and game systems. It was simple and elegant, but the story was diverse, unguided, and the exploration area was massive. That game was huge! Four floppies that constantly needed swapping to play. Lots of character interactions with unique dialogue paths, funny quips added, and probably the most interesting copy protection I ever had to deal with in a computer game. And now? It looks like the original developer (Brian Fargo AKA guy who made Bards Tale, Icewind Dale, Planescape, Dragonswars, Stonekeep, and Baldur's Gate) wants to make a sequel, and back it via Kickstarter game: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/02/16/brian-fargo-turning-to-kickstarter-for-wasteland-2/ I encourage everyone to back the kickstarter when he kicks it off because this is going to rock! Yay! This made my day. - J.
