  1. Thanks.., FYI - version 1.1 is now up at http://www.unboundbook.org/MiniSixFanatic/?page_id=190
  2. As am update I'm about to release a 1.1 version (mainly fixing typos, adding more examples, etc.), I thought I'd outline a few more things I'm looking at adding to the Test Drive - Alternate Damage system (body/hit points option). More sample equipment. A Magic/Powers system System to manage NPCs in combat etc. Regards, Marcus (https://plus.google.com/+MarcusDBone)
  3. Hi All... I've thrown together a cut down version of the D6 Legend system, I've called Simple Six. Based heavily on the concepts of Mini Six I'd be happy to hear any feedback or comments. If there is any interest in this approach, I will look at extending the rules (especially in regards to different genres), and perhaps do a larger release with some sample settings (Kickstart it for some art maybe?)? Anyway - you can find the Simple Six: #TestDrive here - http://www.unboundbook.org/MiniSixFanatic/?page_id=190
  4. No new content unfortunately, but I've recently revamped the design and structure of my love letter to the Mini Six game system - Mini Six Fanatic! Just sharing 'cause I care
  5. Hi! Sorry I missed this post. Thanks for running the game! Unfortunately I have trouble humour in games (probably coming from all my years of playing Call of Cthulhu). I also find that most comedy in a game session comes from the actual play (the silly voices and sarcastic comments) rather than the scenario itself. That said, I will always encourage people to run a story as they see fit. I do hope to have the rest of the Aether up at some point, but my day job has become way more pressing in the last year (and I have the attention span little greater than a goldfish when it comes to RPGs - I'm all over the place in writing, reading and playing, as my fancy takes me on journey of gaming discovery ) Thanks again! Marcus
  6. Errr... Um... Well that took much longer than I expected... and it still ain't finished. That said, I have posted up the initial draft of the intro and first adventure seed over on my horror website - http://www.unboundbook.org/?page_id=212 As always, I'm keen to hear what people have to say! Marcus
  7. Sorry - final edit is taking a little longer than I first hoped (work, life and the fact that I've seen a massiely obvious hole in one of the seeds!) Marcus

    [Mini Six] Scarrport Conversion

Hey, thanks for taking the time to look over it! Sorry about the font, if you continue to have trouble I can easily change it (I'd be interested to hear if there is a consensus on the font). As for the 'double' mechanic, I know I've used it previously (in a con game using the Precinct '77 setting), but for the life of me I can't remember if I just made it up or grabbed it from somewhere else [edit - yeah the double a roll exists in perks for both the Farnsley's setting and the Precinct '77 setting]. That would be appreciated! It is by no means a complete conversion, but hopefully it does its job?!?
  9. Hi All, As I work towards my other project (as mentioned on this forum), I thought I'd throw up a quick conversion I did for Gun Metal Games' (formally Reality Deviants Press) Scarrport - City of Secrets 4e setting. I've uploaded it into Google Docs (mainly because it is an unofficial conversion and I don't want to get anyone into trouble) at this link - https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0BzKxJ3ErEEznYmM3NmJjNjQtZTAxYS00NWM2LTgwNjctNTNiODRiNGZlN2M1&hl=en&authkey=CPqDqo0D I have a real fondness for the setting, although I have little time for 4e (it just doesn't 'do' it for me as a game system), and so I thought it would be a great world to convert to Mini Six. I should note that the link above has no setting material, just conversion stats, etc. and I recommend you grab yourself a copy of Scarrport either at Drivethru RPG - http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?products_id=61283 - or over at the Mongoose Out of Print sale - http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/rpg/detail.php?qsID=1922&qsSeries=67 - (how can you say no to a 3 UK pound book!). Finally, depending on the interest, I might recreate some of the monsters and other such things in Mini Six, but at the moment this is really for me and an upcoming session I'm planning on running! Cheers! Marcus
  10. I'm just about in the position to have some of this tested out, or at least reviewed by a third party. Is anyone here keen? Feel free to PM me, if reading through some adventure seeds interests you. Marcus

    Gen Con 2011

Damn - I was 'this' close to coming to Gencon this year (the difficulty of which probably makes more sense when I say that I live in New Zealand). I still might (although the avenue of opportunity is closing rapidly), in which case I'd definitely try and track you and Ray down! Marcus
  12. Hi All, I haven't run this past Ray or Phil yet (although they were happy with my Metaphysical Constables Gazette), so I won't go into too much detail, but I'm currently working on 4 or 5 detailed adventure seeds for their Farnley's Phantasm Investigations setting. Once I've done a bit more work (and once I've got permission from the owners of the setting), I'd really like to post the draft up here and get some feedback before going live. Cheers! Marcus
  13. Looking at both (PDF on screen & physical copy in my hand); nothing at all . Phil or Ray might be able to say differently. Marcus

    Mini Six Updates

Hi there, I'm the author of the Gazette, glad you liked it! I have a million ideas for the Farnley setting that I hope to work into further issues of the Gazette, maybe? Don't hold your breathe though, as I'm currently writing a Precinct '77 adventure for a local con here in New Zealand. Marcus
  15. Damn ... I see you aren't shipping to International locations (and I'm based in New Zealand). I'll keep an eye out if you get your POD option up and running. Of course, I'm also happy to pay extra to ship Mini Six here to NZ, if that could be arranged! Binder (Marcus)
