  1. Happy Birthday!

  2. I love the new layout. The centering is slightly off however. If possible the links icons could be a bar that is interactive if you could include that in your flash. Make it look like a rolling movie reel but the icons are the film. I think that would give it all that final tie together.
  3. That said in order for anything to come of it Eric would have to actively pursue someone he feels in violation of his intellectual properties, and with recent events, and him being the great guy that he is, I don't see that this would ever happen. The only scenario where I can see this as an issue is when/if he sells off those IP's.
  4. There is the official one. Though with West End Games no longer existing soon I would say that the word official can't apply to much of anything since there's no backer for it.
  5. Those are both Role Playing Games. The influences list was for Movies/Books/TV. Monte Cooks World of Darkness isn't an influence though. I like just about everything Monte's ever done but it's just not something I want to borrow from.
  6. You're fine. Don't worry about it. I'm sending you a PM with some information.
  7. I've been talking to Eric about acquiring www.opend6.com . Unfortunately on the software side after speaking to a colleague getting software finished that would do what Open D6 was originally suppose to do would take upwards of 600 hours of work coding, costing approximately $40 per hour. That's $24,000 for those of you keeping track. For free software, that won't net anything in return to recoup the losses it's just not feasible for someone to do it. That's the reason everything fell through in the first place.
  8. I edited my post to make it a little less preachy. And the lines aren't exactly like Old World of Darkness, or New World of Darkness. Which, in turn, borrowed from the paranormal genre heavily. An easy flow of understanding the dispersal of ideas would be this: Vampire, Werewolf, and Occult Mythology (Ancient World)> Dracula, Wolfman, Merlin, etc.> Anne Rices Vampire Chronicles, Silver Bullet (any other werewolf in literature since 1920 really) , Every Wizard Thereafter lol > World of Darkness + Dresden Files + Other Sources> Fang And might I add I refuse to have my Vampires sparkle just to make them original. lol
  9. Here is a list: 1. The game is more action oriented like Underworld than Storytelling driven like World of Darkness. 2. The old World of Darkness was described this way. Fang borrows heavily from that atmosphere. Old World of Darkness is no longer supported or marketed. 3. It's FREE. 4. It uses the D6 System, or at least Cinema6 a next generation D6 System. 5. The backgrounds are different. In World of Darkness the Werewolves, Mages, and Vampires all had a separate totally unconnected legacy. In Fang they are all connected. (more detail with be added to the wiki on this in "The World of Fang" in the article.) 6. They all use a standard mechanic (Special Abilities) instead of having four books to play one game. 7. The game is equally influenced by the Dresden Files which I was going to do a fan book of but at the request of the authors representative will not. 8. It is a community setting that can be added to by anyone. How do you think this distinction could be improved? What ideas would you like to contribute to make it better?
  10. [video=youtube;6Tp_niH33DI] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Tp_niH33DI After revising the D6 Resurrection website I decided to make a YouTube video for the article I'm currently working on for the wiki. Check it out!
  11. I just realized earlier that apparently only I was able to see all of the new revisions. Everyone should have the new format for the wiki as a default display now. Let me know if it's not red and black all over. Let me know if this article is showing up properly for you as well: http://opend6.wikia.com/wiki/Fang:_The_Role_Playing_Game_of_Epic_Horror
  12. I've spent a little bit of time this morning overhauling the Resurrection wiki. Here is a link: http://opend6.wikia.com/wiki/Open_D6_Resurrection_Wiki
  13. Be mindful of your thoughts young Jedi. Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.
  14. Essentially it's the end of WEG, and Open D6 as a corporately supported system. Eric is giving everything over to the community (public domain?) with the exception of TORG (which was never Open) which he is selling off. That means everyone that loves the system will now have to make an effort to maintain it and help it grow without a central place from which it comes.
