Hi Hellsreach, hi opend6 fans !
Two questions to Hellsreach :
1) when do you plan to open opend6.com (or else) ?
2) where can I find "official" opend6 logo, if any ; or can I make my own logo (as long as it is clear enough to show "opend6") ?
Thanks in advance for the anwers ! :)

1) OpenD6 still need a lot of development. I'm not sure what to put up in the mean time. Determining that will determine when it (the site itself) is open. I have a prospective date on when we are shooting for the OpenD6 utility to be up and running, but I'm not going public with that date just yet.
2) I have an Open D6 logo and I'll be putting it up very soon, along with what we have available for the D6 SRD text so far. It's just a matter of finding the time.

Can I make a suggestion, can you place a place holder site up, even if it just says "OpenD6 is coming soon". Having the GoDaddy ad site might be turning away or confusing potential D6ers.

I second that. It would be much easier to tell people to check out the placeholder site than to have endless dicussions about whether OpenD6 is dead or not. And if it isn't too much trouble, you should post something at the westendgames.com site, too. A lot of people believe WEG is dead, because the last news entry was from last year. Even a two-liner helps if you ask me.

I totally agree. On either place you can put up a note about what is going on and then point them over here if they want more information.
That way they can see that Open D6 is happening and they can ask any questions they may have.

Any updates on that issue?

I have to talk with the developer. Most of the programming is being done on his local machine, but I need to know what security issues there might be in making the site go live, if even in a temporarily degraded format.

I really hope, he gives his OK. Even a temporarily degraded OpenD6 site will probably help to give the whole project a boost in publicity. And it will finally show everyone that OpenD6 is NOT DEAD! :)

Eric, do you have the logo done or do you have someone creating the OpenD6 logo for you?

I have a logo done, already.

I don't think adding the unfinished work is absolutely necessary - even a blank 'OpenD6 Coming Soon' would be enough to remind folks that things are still progressing.

I would agree. And it would also help people know that the Open D6 movement is still moving, and not dead.
