So I am gonna start a small Metabarons campaign, anyone know any good online resources?

Specific issues of Heavy Metal (illustrate fantasy magazine) where English translations of the story appeared.
Beyond that -- you will need to learn French, unfortunately.

Or Spanish.
It was published here in hardcover album format. Don't know how many issues it has, though.

I do know that there was the core in English and maybe one sourcebook.

I did since do a search and located these:

Metabarons: Companion to the Metabarons RPG (http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Metabarons%3A%20Companion%20to%20the%20Metabaron s%20Rpg:3001316088;_ylc=X3oDMTB1c21tcDhkBF9TAzk2Nj MyOTA3BHNlYwNmZWVkBHNsawNib29rcw--)
OK, some of these look like the same book at different locations...

Unfortunately, I have strong reason to believe that the RPG was originally in French and translated during the development phase itself to English.
There was talk of close to a half dozen French RPG sourcebooks versus the single English sourcebook as the game was more successful there.
It was of them I was referring by my statement.

I remember picking up the game when it first came out. I was really excited about a new game coming out from WEG and with the D6 rules no less. The illustrations blew me away. This was amazing.

But reading the book, I found that I didnt really get what the setting was all about, or what kind of adventures I could run with this game.

So I went out and picked up the comic books. Sadly, they completely turned me off the setting. :(

The setting is very Andrei Rublev (particular in the brutal scene where a "Prince" decides that nobody should ever have a castle as fine as his so has all the workers blinded) and very Eastern European where Atrocities are deemed virtuous.

Interesting. I guess when I came to the game looking for a new Star Wars I was bound to be disappointed, eh?

Yeah.
However, it is a fine (if very dark) sort of setting.
