Was sort of hoping to see more regular updates, but maybe I missed them?

I know first hand how long it takes to put out a good quality, well-edited podcast. I don't think I want to know how long it's going to take Eric to be motivated to do a second vidcast.

When you do get that camera do you have enough stuff pulled together to create a video update?

I haven't written a script and while I have much news, do to my self made limitations I cannot say anything for a while, I have enough infromation for a short message.

Even a short message -- "I am still alive, WEG is still moving forward" -- may in fact be sufficient.

But you do have a message and it should be communicated. You paid back all money from the Septimus preorders. And this is something that was not expected by many people and is very unusual for the business as a whole. It shows you are back in business and true to your word. Btw even if there is not much official to say now a status report on open D6 could be a good thing too.

Eric, If you know which camera you want try looking at some of the bigger online stores. While I don't really know jack about video gear, I've gotten great deals (far better than I've got from best buy or ciricut city) on my still photo gear at B&H photo, plus they are great to deal with. 17th street photo is also a good place to buy. It might save you a couple of bucks.

Your recent post would have been a good subject for a short video. I wouldn't even worry about too much editing; just say what's on your mind about a specific theme (GenCon, Septimus, non-related WEG stuff that has inspired you, etc.) for a few minutes.
A weekly update that lasts 2 to 3 minutes would probably be better than a 10 minute video every 4 months.

I just picked up a better camera with a mic input. I course, I cannot actually find a mic anywhere but I'm getting there.

That's cool. I am sure it will be better then the last one (and for the record, I couldnt have done a video as well as you did the last one. I am clueless about that stuff).
So hopefully with the new Cam you will be able to post regular updates. Also, don't forget to mention the forums switch. That is important.
