Sorry for asking these basic questions, but maybe it will help others besides myself who are not so familar with TORG.
I have read discussions on here about possible or wished-for cosms for TORG 2.0 that we all hope will come out someday. I understood that the posited "Viking" cosm was just that, but it was discussed that it is best to name it so that it won't offend the owners of a similar RPG property.
If that is the case, them I am confused by all of these cosms suggestion threads that are adapted from fictional properties, such as "Stargate" and "Flash Gordon". Are these just homespun cosms adapted from other sources for possible individual gamer use, and not meant to be suggestions for a published version of TORG?

I think 99% of all this is just fan-stuff.
However, if there is even a .01% sliver of a chance that the idea could in fact be a PDF venture (free or otherwise) it might be good to avoid entanglements from the very start.

Yeah. other wise it is just fans of Torg and other movies converting stuff for their games I do believe.

Do the original rules of TORG or R&E include rules for GMs creating their own cosms?
I see a lot of that going on in this forum but I didn't know if you guys were just winging it, or if there was an actual system in place.
If not, should there be for TORG 2.0?

There are a few light guidelines here and there but nothing really concrete in the published material for designing new realities, basically "just wing it" is the extent of things. There was talk that 2.0 would have actual rules for it.
