Hi all, I am looking for a fillable online CS that I can use with my group. Something that can be kept online and altered as needed for a Map tools online game. If there is a good one out there, could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Are you looking for a generic D6 character sheet, or one for a particular version of the D6 core, or a D6 Star Wars character sheet? There are a variety around, but I'm not sure there's one of each. I'll have to dig around on my harddrive depending on your answer.

Would prefer a generic D6 as I am currently working with d6 space, but any would be helpful. Thanks.

Maybe you could use the Google Excel equivalent? That way it could be easily accessed online

Anyone here have the talent to be able to create a fillable sheet for D6? Maybe covert the D6 Adventure, D6 Space and D6 Fantasy sheets to be fillable?

Well, after digging, I couldn't find the one thing I thought I had, which was an online Excel file that you could fill in for your characters. It wasn't stored online, however, so you still had to DL the file and make the changes. I couldn't find it on my computer though. I also can't find and honestly never recall any online hosted character sheets that can be updated and KEPT online, unless you happen to be involved in some sort of board that hosts games and keeps character sheets and keeps them saved on the board. Even then, I don't think you're going to find anything generic. Most likely you'll find, as I did, they're D6 Star Wars character sheets.
If you don't want the requirement of having it online, there are PDFs of various character sheets, including a generic version (from the old D6 System book) available. You'd have to print them and use them like a normal character sheet, though.
Sorry I couldn't help more.

I've got one I whipped up for D6 Adventure. It's PDF, printable only. I used the original freebie from West End Games and just added the text boxes. I'll post a link for it here if Eric gives me the okay to do so.

Can someone be more clear with me what exactly you are looking for.
A blank character sheet that you can fill in on your local machine?
A blank character sheet that you can fill in online and it is kept online?
A Smart character sheet that has build in coding and drop downs for all talents, skills... etc so you can simply select from drop down options?

No problem. Thanks for trying.

My game group uses a virtual tabletop as we are not in the same geographical area, so what I am looking for is an online character sheet that can be manipulated online without any need to print.

Doesn't sound too hard then. So all you need is a blank character sheet template with fill in the blanks. I am assuming you want only the players to to be able to edit their own sheet.
Do you want it built so everybody has view only rights to all other character sheets or keep them private - except for the GM?
Which template are you using or would like to see online ?

Exactly.
My plan is to design the characters with the players (they do not have the game at this time) online, and then send them the finished product through email. This would become their default sheet and they could have it on the taskbar to grab, look at and modify when needed during the game. I am using D6 Space, although I am also looking at adventure.

When I get home from work I will look at the sheets formatting.
When is your game starting or when are you going to roll up the characters ?

Do not spend to much time or effort on this as I just need something functional. I am not even sure if the D6 system will last past the 'demo' adventure for my group.
We (mostly me) are trying to ressurect a long defunct face to face game over VTT as we all live in different areas now. We started using the GURPS system which I like very much, but found it to be a bit too much to run with the VTT. So I am now going to demo 3 different systems for the group to see which they would prefer. (D6,EABA,BRP) So we will make a group based decision on which to go forward with.
Also looking at the cortex system, but I haven't gotten too deep into it yet.
I will not be getting anything going until well after the holidays.

I know I promised other people projects here but I add this to my hopper. Should be a straight forward and fairly quick

As a test, I snagged a simple star wars character sheet from here (http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/~leirbakk/rpg/starwars/characters/starwars_charactersheet.html), pasted into Google Docs and set it to be shareable with the world.
You can take a look here:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pxAoXtY5LxZ8-S9vHheAEOQ
The formatting is all wonky (I didn't clean it up at all after importing), but you can get an idea of what's possible. Supposedly any changes made will show up to whoever is also viewing the sheet.
Do you have a Google account? If so, you could export this spreadsheet, upload to your Google Docs, modify it as needed, then share with your group members. There are several options for sharing, I shared with everyone or you can restrict to certain invitees.
Edit:
You may need to be logged into Google Docs to view, I'm not sure but that seems to be the case from my preliminary attempts.

There are some pdf form fillable character sheets on the old WEG site:

I have Ms word versions of all the genre character sheets. You could do as suggested above and share these with a Google account, allowing them to been seen and or edited by everyone. they are very simple one page sheets, but might work for what you are looking for...

With those, I see we can't delete or rename skills that are there... but we CAN add in new skills... very nice! I have zero computer skills, but would it be hard to have one that listed no skills, or allowed a user to rename/delete existing skills?
I'm just thinking as OpenD6 starts to spread, I'm sure people would appreciate the option for a customizable character sheet that looks professional.

If you want to, email me a blank PDF sheet, and I can add fields. No menus or fancy nonsense, just type-here fields.

Wow, great! Somebody "official" should do that, though, so they can post it on the site. Thank you!
