Free d6 SRD, anyone heard anything?

So, I just stumbled upon the news that d6 is going to an open lincense type deal. Then I noticed that this news is a year old. Anyone heard anything new lately? Or did they cancel it and I missed it?

At this point, it's up in the air - if Eric (Hellsreach) sells WEG, then it may not happen at all; based on what Eric tells us about the project in the other thread though, most of us are really hoping it happens!

As of now the short answer is that we are still in limbo.

1. There are talks supposedly covering the sale of the company.
2. Potentially, there is no sale happening at all.

One is true but both seem to be happening.
When we get to the next step -- sold/not sold -- we will know more.

I'm hoping that whatever happens, Eric is somehow retained to finalize the TORG redesign that he started back in 2004 -- which may have been been done and ready to publish since as early as the first few months of 2006 but was held back due to financial concerns.
