Long talked about, never launched. Until now.

torg.wikia.com (http://torg.wikia.com)

A Torg Wiki. Like all wikis, editable by the general public. Including you.

Empty of all information, right now, other than the first page. Anyone who wishes can create sub-pages, adding more information about the game.

(Note: Due to computing limitations, Wikia editing is impractical on my machine. If Torg fans don't step up and contribute, the Torg Wiki will remain content-lite.)

Thanks to Zack and Dominick for their contributions. For those wishing to make requests, or discuss the Torg Wiki in general, feel free to visit the Torg Wiki forum here (http://torg.wikia.com/index.php?title=Forum:Watercooler&t=20110503173751).

So what do I post in a Wiki? I mean is it just for repeating what is already in the Sourcebooks or is it a place to add new stuff that should have been in the Sourcebooks?

I have some stats for new Nile Empire Walking Gods. What about write-ups for locations that never got love in the Sourcebooks? New Martial Arts styles? Is this the place to share stuff like that? I am new to the whole Wiki thing.

So what do I post in a Wiki? Wiki's can be whatever the participants want it to be. It's done by the community of participants, so contains whatever they see fit to contribute.

The most well-known wiki, Wikipedia, is a crowd-sourced encyclopedia. If done like that, the Torg wiki would be an excellent source of information about Torg.

Characters (including bios and where they appeared). Realities, including summaries of World Laws and axioms. And so forth.

But it can also be a database of House Rules. Note that, in such a case, anything you contribute is released under the CC-BY-SA Creative Commons License. (Essentially, anyone can reuse it any way they see fit, if they give you credit.)

So, if you want to add in new supplemental material that you wrote, feel free. You're part of the Torg community, you can add in whatever you wish.

The Wiki only works if people contribute. They don't even have to contribute a lot.

Add some text about a reality. Proofread. Add a page about Rat and Coyote. Or about the Rauru Block.

The Wiki is whatever we make of it.

EDIT:

I would suggest, however, that a site about House rules, that solicits active feedback and discussion, would better be hosted elsewhere. Where, I know not.

Such a thing would work (and work well) as a Wiki, but not on Wikia.

So for constructive criticism on a new martial arts style I would post it here and then after it has been forged in the fire of the message boards I could post it to the Wiki?

Another important consideration is brevity.
Any information on the wikia for TORG should not be construable as a challenge to the ownership of the product by the company.
Trying to take 40 pages of KJ's R&E and just cut-n-paste to the Wikia, will likely cause some problems.
