Ok, according to the Sourcebook he keeps it in a closet (is that right? my SB is at home) so he can escape if he needs to. I still think its great that one of the most powerful men in the Cosmverse has an escape plan. But to the point, how can the SK's blow up his Maelstrom Bridge if he has it hidden away?

I know it says that he can expand it at anytime if he wants to. So I guess the question is how can the SK's find out when he is going to expand it next. I guess there would have to be some kind of coordination between him and Khem as to when their next shipment of tanks is to come through? The SK's could find out when and plan to blow it up when the tanks start rolling down Main Street of Thebes?

Any other ideas?

Something like that, a closet or a small room, something inconspicuous. (Was it in a wardrobe, a Narnia reference?)

A pulpish plan would be to trick Mobius to reveal where it is, perhaps by intentionally getting captured so that he can gloat over them, then breaking out of whatever deathtrap he inevitably puts them in and racing off to the bridgehead's location in the palace before they can be captured again.

I do like the getting intentionally captured idea. ;)

Very Pulpish indeed!

I did some checking last night and the average Maelstrom Bridge toughness is 55. So we need something pretty big to bring it down. Luckily Mobius happens to have something pretty big sitting atop The High Temple of Ra in Luxor, which is just across the river from where he keeps his Bridge in Thebes. That's right is Pharoah Mobius' Artificial Sun! The plan is to get inside the Temple of Ra, get the helmet, have Weird Scientist reconfigure Ergonometer Helmet to work for Storm Knight, use Sun to blow up bridge and destroy sun in process/ Possibly by flying Sun into bridge.

That should make for a heckuva campfire tale to refill the population with Hope for the future. Stelae here we come!

Thoughts???

Ok so I was thinking what if it is Mobius' birthday and there are all these festivities. Say there is a Parade in his honor. And the military commander (forget his name) wants to have all these tanks brought over from Khem to have them in the Parade. That whole 'look how great our military is for you' thing that they do for dictators. So he gets Mobius to open the bridge for the Parade.

Our heroes get wind this is gonna go down. Maybe a Nile Shocktrooper has seen the light and switches inclination. Maybe do to Inclination Seduction by an attractive female Storm Knight. So they get word of the plans and decide taking out The Artificial Sun and the Maelstrom Bridge at the same time won't be that hard! (Considering they are in the Nile Empire, it won't be. But I wouldn't try this in The Marketplace).

Other Thoughts?

Forgot to mention that blast that The Artificial Sun sun fires is a damage value of 55. May want to use an Eternity Shard and take advantage of the Nile Empire's Law of Action, but taking down the Maelstrom Bridge is definitely doable!

The easiest way to take down a maelstrom bridge? Martyr card. ;)

Sure Martyr Card will do the trick, but you can use those anywhere and The Nile Empire is the only place you can blow one up with an Artifical Sun! It's an issue of opputunity cost and imaginative storytelling. We have already seen Eddie Paragon use that trick. I wanna do something different.
