I am curious if there has been an update on Septimus and/or if anyone has heard from Bill Coffin?

I just did a search on RPG.net and nothing has been said about Septimus in a long time. I sent Bill another PM, but since he never responded to my last one, I am not hopeful that he will respond to this one.

I did send a PM to him awhile ago but I have not gotten an answer (It was to invite him over here to help man this forum).
I am not even sure if he is going on rpg.net anymore. Does anyone know of another way to contact him? A web site or perhaps an email address where he can be reached?

After seeing a post from Jontheman ( http://www.wegfanforums.com/forums//showthread.php?t=324
there was two good interviews with Bill and one from Eric. You can read up on Septimus in both PDFs. I highly recommend reading them both.

I need to read the one from Bill (I have been a bit busy) and I am going to read the one with the interview with Eric, though I have talked to Eric and I know the contents of the interview and a little more that I cannot say.

The interview with Bill actually has his email at the end of it.

I guess I should log more into RPG.net. Had a PM sitting there for weeks and didn't even know about it. It was from Bill Coffin after I asked him for a Septimus Update.
Sorry to have been so quiet, especially on Septimus. Work is currently paused on it while I am finishing up other projects, but I have not forgotten it. Converintg the game over to another system has given me reason to re-evaulate the game itself, and that is taking a lot of time, since what I wrote for WEG was rushed a bit in order to make Gen Con (which of course, never happened). I wnat to make sure than when this game finally does come out, it will be worth the wait.
So the waiting continues indefinately it looks like.... :(

He never replied to me so you did better then I did contacting him. Guess he is just too busy (plus he may have had a bunch of PM's sitting there and just hasn't gotten to mine yet).

To be honest, I think it is more that Bill Coffin sought out to do it in D6 in good faith and was fully committed to the publication and that it was Eric that finally pulled out.
As it stands I think Eric intimated that Bill was the aggrieved party and somewhat also intimated (IMHO) that Bill felt that the fiasco reflected poorly upon him and his "good name" as much as (or more than) it did on WEG.
All through my warped lens upon which I view the world.
As such, I think it'd be a lot of promises and apologies required to get Septimus anywhere near D6 at all.
Or just Bill utilizing the Open D6 and publishing it elsewhere under that open license without interacting with WEG at all.
Sadly, the last may be the best hope.

Though I'm certain Bill was as eager as everyone else for Septimus to come out, and certainly made sacrifices to make that happen, to be fair it was not I who pulled the plug on the project. Bill did.

Sorry, I remember you personally taking the "blame" for the project failure and erroneously placed the pullout on you.
Of course if he pulled out of the project because he lost faith in you/WEG, then I suppose that was how it was.
But I tend to see things a bit askew, great for creating content but lousy when dealing with the rest of my life.

I for one would love to see Septimus being released as D6 and I would be the first one to buy a copy of it.
