Name: Fireburst
Skill Used: Conjuration
Difficulty: 20
Effect: 15 (5D Damage)
Range: 8 (14/27/40 meters)
Speed: +8
Duration: 2.5 seconds (+2)
Casting Time: 1 round (-4)
Other Aspects:
Area Effect (15): 3 meter radius
Gestures: (-2): Mime throwing a ball
Incantation (-2): ?Burn in the flames of power!? (Sentence)

The caster calls into being a burst of flames that covers a 3 meter area. A marksmanship roll is required to aim the attack. If the marksmanship roll fails the Fireburt will hit something or someone else nearby. The GM can aim the burst based on the amount the roll failed by, or roll 1D for direction and 1D for distance in meters.


Name: Missile Wand

Difficulty: 12
Effect: 12 (4D Damage)
Range: 8 (14/27/40 meters)

Duration: 3.5 seconds (+3)
Casting Time: 1 hour (-18)

This spell infuses a wand with 10 charges of mystical damaging energy. The spell requires a marksmanship roll to hit, and the wand is destroyed when the last charge is used.

Name: Stun
Skill Used: Conjuration
Difficulty: 12
Effect: 15 (5D+1) stun damage
Range: 4 (5 meters)
Speed: +4
Duration: 1 round (+4)
Casting Time: 2.5 seconds (-2)

Incantation (-1): ?stun!? (1 word)

This spell creates a magical blast of electrical energy designed to stun 1 target. Use the stun rules on page xx. This requires a marksmanship roll to hit the target.

Name: Mass Stun
Skill Used: Conjuration
Difficulty: 24
Effect: 15 (5D+1) stun damage
Range: 7 (25 meters)
Speed: +7
Duration: 1 round (+4)
Casting Time: 1 Round (-4)
Other Aspects:
Area: (+15), 3 meter radius
Gesture (-2): Mime throwing object at area
Incantation (-2): ?stun my enemies!? (Sentence)

Identical to the stun spell, except it covers an area of 3 meters.


Name: Travel
Skill Used: Alteration
Difficulty: 16
Effect: 10 (100 kg.)
Range: 29 (600 km.)
Speed: +10 (50 km/hour)

Casting Time: 1 minute (-9)

Gestures: (-2), point in the direction you are going and mime jumping
Incantation: (-2), sentence Take me to (targets name)!
Other Condition: (-4), the caster must be able to see or have seen the target location.

This spell moves the caster or his target without crossing the actual space in between. Because the speed is less than the range, it can take a bit of time to travel long distances, and the traveler is unaware of his surroundings during this time. Apparently the spell moves the target through an alternate or parallel plane to his destination. If the spell roll fails, the caster goes nowhere.

This is a template, the spell increase 1 attribute and all its skills by 1D for 5 rounds.

The caster can change shape 1 time, and maintain that shape for 10 minutes. This spell is a template, and must be relearned for each shape the caster wants to take.

Description: This spell creates a small inanimate object. The spell will not create anything with a complex chemical makeup, or with moving parts. Any object created by this simple spell will look wrong, even to those without magical training, so gold created with the spell cannot be spent normally, etc.
Create Object can make usable tools and weapons, like shovels, picks and iron or bronze swords. It can also be used to create simple wooden objects like boxes or ladders. The GM should be careful what he allows to be created with this spell to keep it from getting out of hand.

Elemental Shield

Effect: 12 (Adds to Armor Value vs. energy attacks/4D physical protection)

Description: This spell creates a protective envelope around the caster, giving damage resistance against all energy based attacks. It does not protect against physical attacks, only from things like heat, cold, electricity, and acid.

Healing

Effect: 16 (healing skill of 5D+1)
Range: Touch (0)

By touching an injured being, the magic user can use this cantrip to heal harm as if he had 5D+1 in the healing skill.

Illusion Disguise

Description: This spell changes the outward appearance of the target. Anyone seeing the target of the spell who has reason to believe that the target is not who he or she appears to be must make a contested roll of their Acumen against the 18 effect value of the spell. If the disbeliever succeed in beating the effect value, they see the target for who he or she really is. This spell fools all 5 senses. Illusion disguise can be used to exactly imitate a person, but people who know that person well (close friends, spouse, etc) will receive an extra 1D on the Acumen roll to detect the deception.

Description: Independence is cast on an illusion spell that has already been cast, giving the illusion the ability to react to its environment. This allows the illusion to react to the real world, allowing the illusion to last longer without being disbelieved.

When an illusion with this spell on it is reacted to by the outside world, the GM will roll the 3D in Acumen, and have the illusion react accordingly, depending on how successful the roll is.

Mass Illusion

Difficulty: 22
Effect: 18 (large scale illusion/6D in bluff)
Range: 5 meters (+4)
Speed: instantaneous (+4)
Casting Time: 1 round (-4)
Duration: 1 hour (+18)

This spell creates an illusion that will fool all sesnse other than touch for the duration of the spell. Once the illusion is created, the illusion can be moved within the range by concentration. The illusion cannot harm anyone, and it will not react independantly to its environment if left on its own. If the illusion is touched, it will immeadiatley become apparent that it is not real. If anyone attempts to disbeleive the illusion, they must generate an Acumen or inventigation total higher than the spells effect value.

Minor Telekinesis
Skill: apportation
Difficulty: 12
Effect: 4 (5 kilograms moved up 5 meters distant)
Range: 5 meters (+4)
Speed: 5 (+4)
Casting Time: 1 second (-0)
Duration: 1 minute (+9)
Other Aspects:
Gestures (-1): Point finger at target(simple)
Incantations (-1): ?Obey my Will!?(few words)
Variable Movement (+4): target can be moved freely for entire duration, at up to 3 meters per round
Description: This spell allows the caster to move a one small object weighing 5 kilograms or less anywhere with 5 meters of himself. The object cannot move outside of the range, and the movement of the object is not fast enough to be used as a weapon, either thrown or in melee combat. Extra success on the apportation roll can be used to increase the weight affected or the duration of the spell.

Simple Illusion
Skill: conjuration
Difficulty: 13
Effect: 12 (4D skill modifier)
Range: 5 meters (+4)
Speed: instantaneous (+4)
Casting Time: 1 round (-4)
Duration: 1 minute (+9)

Fascinating. I have been a D6 fan for a loooong time and I just discovered this forum today! Happy day! But... this is about new spells, not me.:p So, whithout further ado, here are a handful of spells that I created several years ago.

Invocations for Halazar*

Blessing of Wisdom
Skill: Favor Difficulty: 12
Effect: 12 (+1D bonus to Intellect, +1D bonus to Acumen)
Range: Touch (0)
Speed: 0
Duration: 10 minutes (+14)
Casting Time: 1 round (-4)
Required Aspects
Focused (+5): Focused on the recipient
Gesture (-1): Bow head (simple)
Incantation (-2): A lengthy phrase calling on Halazar’s blessing
The blessing of wisdom infuses the character with divine enlightenment, resulting in a +1D modifier to both Intellect and Acumen for the duration of the blessing.

Healing Touch
Skill: Favor Difficulty: 5
Effect: 15 (healing skill of 5D)
Range: less than 1 meter (0)
Speed: 0
Duration: 1.5 seconds (+1)
Casting Time: 1 round (-4)
Required Aspects
Gesture (-1): Bow head (simple)
Incantation (-1): A holy phrase (a few words)
By channeling spiritual energy to an injured person or creature, the caster heals the subject as if he had a healing skill of 5D. Add the miracle success bonus to the healing total.

* Halazar is a compassionate deity that promotes good will. He charges his faithful with aiding others whenever possible, especially in matters of health. Halazar requires a brief incantation of short passages from his holy script while the supplicant bows his head for any invocation in his name.

Glimpse
Skill: Divination Difficulty: 2
Effect: 6 (search skill of 2D)
Range: 5 feet (1)
Speed: +1
Duration: 1 second (0)
Casting Time: 1.5 seconds (-1)
Other Aspects:
Feedback (-1): -1 to damage resistance total
Gesture (-2): The caster covers his eyes with his hands (fairly simple)

This spell allows the caster to catch the briefest glimpse of things on the other side of a wall, or just around the corner, etc.

Kindle
Skill: Conjuration Difficulty: 4
Effect: 3 (equivalent of a torch flame; 1D)
Range: 1 meter (0)
Speed: 0
Duration: 1 minute (+9)
Casting Time: 1.5 seconds (-1)
Other Aspects:
Component (-2): a branch or a few twigs (ordinary, destroyed)
Gesture (-1): point finger at the branch/twigs (simple)

This is a simple spell designed to make survival in cooler climes a little easier by way of kindling a small campfire. The incantation can also be used to create makeshift torches by removing the ?destroyed? aspect of the component, increasing the difficulty only slightly. The original flame is usually enough to keep the wood burning beyond the listed duration of the spell as a natural flame.

Simple Telekinesis
Skill: Apportation Difficulty: 3
Effect: Up to 3 pounds (+1)
Range: 2.5 meters (+2)
Speed: 0 (1 meter/second)
Duration: 5 seconds (+4)
Casting Time: 1 second (0)
Other Aspects:
Gesture (-1): hold out hand to receive item called (simple)

Used primarily as a training spell for aspiring mages, Simple Telekinesis allows the caster to bring small, unattended objects in sight to his outstretched hand.

Some more spells from my personal "grimoire".

Bleach Geyser (A variation on Water Spray from D6 Fantasy)
Skill: Alteration Difficulty: 10
Effect: 15 (5D damage)
Range: 5 meters (+4)
Speed: 4
Duration: 1 round (+4)
Casting Time: 1.5 seconds (-1)
Other Aspects:
Components (-6): At least a liter of some kind of cleaning liquid, such as bleach (common, destroyed)

This is a simple variation on the Water Spray spell (D6 Fantasy - page 98) used when some other substance is available, such as a bottle of bleach. The range and duration are decreased, but with greater damage (partially due to the nature of the substance being used).

Conjurer?s Shield (A bit of a variation of Mystical Shield from D6 Fantasy)
Skill: Conjuration Difficulty: 13
Effect: 18 (Armor value of 6D)
Range: 1 meter (0)
Speed: 0
Duration: 1 minute (+9)
Casting Time: 5 seconds (-4)
Other Aspects:
Area Effect (+2): 2-meter diameter
Focused (+5): On caster
Gesture (-2): Holding palm out, make circling gesture, representing a shield (fairly simple)
Incantation (-2): ?None may touch me!? (sentence)

By means of this spell the caster creates a semi-transparent oval shield in front of her. The shield is about two meters in diameter and moves with the caster. It offers an Armor Value of 6D against all types of physical attacks.

Flight, limited (A scaled-down version of the Flight spell found in D6 Adventure)
Skill: Conjuration Difficulty: 13
Effect: 23 (Flight (R1) Special Ability plus flying skill at +1D)
Range: 0
Speed: 0
Duration: 2.5 minutes (+11)
Casting Time: 10 seconds / 2 rounds (-5)
Other Aspects:
Component (-4): A bird?s feather (very common, destroyed)
Concentration (-4): Two rounds with willpower difficulty of 12
Focused (+6): On target
Gesture (-1): Point toward the sky (simple)

By sheer force of will, the spellcaster imbues herself (or a desired target) with the ability to fly and the knowledge of how to use it for a couple of minutes. There is no visible means of conveyance, and the movement rate equals twice the target?s normal land speed.

Create Golem (Clay)

Casting Time: 2 hours (-19)
Other Aspects:
Community (-2): 2 junior apprentices performing simple actions, a senior apprentice detailing specific activities the creation is to perform for the master (command difficulty of 11)
Component (-13): a crafted body of clay (very rare) and the heart of a bull (uncommon, destroyed)
Concentration (-6): 1 hour with a mettle difficulty of 12
Feedback (-3): -3 to all damage resistance totals until healed
Focused (+16): on the ?heart? of the construct
Gesture (-3): Placing of the heart in a prepared cavity in the construct?s chest, then sealed (complex, crafting difficulty of 11)
Incantation (-3): The caster must detail the basic scope of the construct?s duties to the creator (complex, command difficulty of 11)
Other Alterants (+2): The golem gains basic facial features and functioning digits upon spell completion
Other Condition (-1): The mage may not have any other constructs under his or her control

This is a highly complex and physically taxing spell that creates a powerful servant and/or bodyguard for the mage. The creature, while not quite a ?juggernaut?, is a capable combatant with a rudimentary intelligence. The usual use of such a creation is to guard a specific local, as well as provide simple manual labor. Since it does have a basic intellect (represented by the know-how skill), it doesn?t require constant monitoring and it even makes use of basic problem solving skills. (As an example, if the mage were to order the golem to stack wood, it would be capable of making a stable stack without being told precisely how to achieve this goal.)
