Tonight I had the pleasure of being able to bat some ideas around regarding game design in D6 with a couple of gents. It was really helpful having it done in the chat room because things were hammered out more directly, with immediate explanations or clarifications done to help with idea formulation. At the end of the ideas session, it was proposed that this become a regular event for people to come in an either get ideas, propose ideas, or get help on ideas they might be having issues with.
So starting the new year, January 5, we're going to be having a chat session open for anyone who wants to come in and chat about D6 game design. Questions on mechanics, how to do something, house rule ideas, design ideas like that, are welcome. If you don't have any questions but want to show up to offer opinions or suggestions on some of these things, that's always welcome as well!
The first weekly chat will begin at 7 PM Pacific Time (8 PM Mountain, 9 Central, 10 Eastern) and last however long people have questions or ideas. We'll try to keep things narrowed to only a couple of things so there can be focus and get any problems/questions resolved without being drowned out with a myriad of questions or problems.
If you're interested, feel free to show up! You might get some neat ideas to use in your game, or you may have a nagging game design question answered by someone who has a different view that maybe you hadn't thought of yet.
See you on Wednesday evening!
