I like the idea of exploding dice - rerolling sixes and adding the new result to the total.
"Gee, Billy, you can try...but it's awful hard and you're kind of a dolt...hope nothing bad happens."
What I'm not fond of are the odds of getting a six if you ARE skilled - say rolling 4-8 dice. The rich get richer, n'est pas? I suppose the work around is that only the wild die explodes. It also works well if players can use drama points (or whatever the particular game calls them) to add extra wild dice to a roll (as opposed to regular dice).
My only hesitation is the concern it may take a little away from the extra benefits of six on the wild die...but I think overall it's worth it.
Anyone have any observations, opinions or experience to share on this?
