I'm running a D6 Fantasy campaign where the players are seeing a LOT of combat. I'd like to have something magical available where they can get a quick boost of body points in combat without having an ever-flowing spring of BP, making them invincible.

If I wanted them to have a rare treat of a regeneration potion (or something to that effect) that gives 5-10 bp over a few rounds after quaffing the potion, how much should such a potion cost? I don't want them to have 20 of the things on hand (lest I start throwing dragons and such at them left and right).

So, given the economy that's presented in the Fantasy book, how much should this cost? 8 gold? 10 gold? 15 gold?

That depends on how magic rich your campaign is. If it is like D&D, were magic is everywhere, I'd say 5-8g (M) is probably a pretty good bet (by expendable). If it is a low magic campagin, you my see yourself questing to find and alchemist willing to make the potions for you. You probably have to pay him or her very little, but might end up needing to bring ingredients which are either expensive 15-20g, (D-VD) or which require a mini quest in it's own right.

I'm not overly stingy with magic im my campaigns, but being so certainly does give one oppurtunities to throw a lost of quests your players way as they have to seek out those little, indespensable items of magical power.
