I've become quite fond of the new Doctor Who rpg. It's apparent that D6 and Doctor Who are very similar systems. The Difficulty numbers are almost identical. This alone makes much of the two games usable for each other. The biggest difference would be finding a formula converting the attributes and their levels to each other.
DWAITAS
Awareness
Coordination
Ingenuity
Presence
Resolve
Strength
Damage is taken from the attributes (like classic Traveller I think?).
Very short Skill list.
Athletics
Convince
Craft
Fighting
Knowledge
Marksman
Medicine
Science
Subterfuge
Survival
Technology
Transport
I'm looking into how compatible one could make these systems.

I was a playtester on Cubicle 7's Doctor Who and have done a lot of D6 conversion material already - before the final version as published it was actually even more like D6 than it is now, but evolved in playtest away from that.
PM me with an email address and I'll shoot over some files you may find enjoyable...

I tried it out once and love the system. Very fast, very freeform and still structured enough for a proper game.
Our campaign was called Torchwood Rifttown 1901.

That's pretty interesting.

I haven't had the chance to look at this version of the game, but what I have looked at appealed to me, in the sense that it looks like a very simple system to use. It is a very pretty presentation, I must say. At this point, being the absolute DW fanatic that I am, I now have the three major DW RPGs; the TSR one that doesn't seem to get much love, the Time Lord game (which is also dead simple) and this new one for Cuticle 7. I tend toward the Time Lord system for preference, it's really easy to cook up a character in a short time. I tend to want to initiate games that are focused on a different version of the Time War that is depicted in the novels about the Eighth Doctor's adventures, and I always come back to Time Lord to hash out the details of that senario. I think I might be tempted to use the newer game for the new series era of DW (but I might play fast and loose with the notion that the Doctor is the only Timelord left, it's more fun IMO for the players to have their own group, travelling in their own TARDIS).
