FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

DOLMEN CREATIVE TO PRODUCE BILL COFFIN'S SEPTIMUS SOURCEBOOKS
Game Publisher Signs Licensing Deal with Bill Coffin

September 15, 2010--WINDSOR, NY and NEW YORK, NY: Dolmen Creative announced today that it has signed a third party licensing agreement with Bill Coffin and will be releasing supplemental material for Bill Coffin's Septimus roleplaying game. The game uses the OpenD6 roleplaying game system, previously released as an "open gaming system" by West End Games'/Purgatory Publishing's Eric Gibson.

When asked about the new OpenD6 movement and Septimus, Mr. Coffin said, "short of reproducing the core book wholesale; I would prefer that remain free to the public for the time being. I wish you the very best with Open D6. If developing Septimus helps Open D6, then my work on Septimus will be that much more satisfying."

The supplemental material will consist of adventures, adventure anthologies, sourcebooks, and magazine articles, the first of which is slated to be released as a first quarter 2011 release.

Would be nice to see a 'semi-official' addendum to the original rules published (for free). I'd be happy to help you compose such an addendum if you want (or need) the help. I know that several folks here, including hellsreach, posted some addendum & errata information in one post (or a couple posts). Seeing a corrective effort on some of the background information discrepencies would go a long way with the crowd that originally bought the pdf or were privy to a printed version. For example there was a lot of confusion based upon the original introductory pdf and the final released version of Septimus in regards to Iron Helix, and other key plot points. I'll reply more once I gather my original concerns and the original thread.

If this could not be handled in a semi-official offering unto itself, if these items could at least be attended to in a clarifying manner within one of the newer proposed releases, again, I think it would go a LONG way with original purchasers. Just my 2 cents as someone that paid for a pdf of the core rules.
