Old WEG forum gone forever?

Yes, it is extremely likely that the old forum is gone for good. He let his internet bil for the old WEG site go unpaid, and considering that Eric has now opened or sold off all IPs accept the name and trademarks for WEG itself, I sincerely doubt he has any intention to make the old website available again.

Do you know The Internet Wayback Machine? It's a great project making backups of public available websites. If you are lucky you can access website that have been closed for years. Just have a look --> http://www.archive.org

Give it a try and have a look at the Yahoo! website from 1996.

Thanks mate! I knew about the Wayback Machine, but I didnt think it saved Forums.

I was thinking about digging up some of my old posts and seeing if they were worthy of reposting or at least storing on my HD. Looks like tis going to take some time...

I clicked around on a few links on the first page, and those "RPG" links do work. When you go into one, you get sub-forum links, and none of the ones I tried worked. So as awesome as the wayback machine is, it only goes so deep. And if it doesn't go as deep as getting you to an actual thread, then storing of the forum is virtually useless.
