What games that are about to be released are you excited to get your hands on? What games can you not wait to buy and dig into?

Not any at all anymore.
Should a new TORG arrive that will bring out the drooling fanboy in me but there just isn't any "shininess" anymore associated with most products.

It's not a roleplaying game but I'm looking forward to picking up Monty Python Fluxx. It's supposed to be shipping any day now.
As for RPGs, Chaosium says Pulp Cthulhu should be out sometime this month too. Since most of my CoC campaigns usually devolved into the PCs carrying Tommy Guns and dynamite into every fight anyway, a more action-packed version of mythos-fighting should go over well. Not that I'm actually optimistic about running it, stupid work schedule....
There's also Shadows of Cthulhu which is a True20 version of the Mythos. I want to look at it in the store before I decide if I'm getting it though, my attempts at running True20 have run up against my dislike for systems that use classes and levels.
Wild Talents Second Edition from ArcDream also looks interesting, I have the first edition of the rulebook but (no surprise) haven't had a chance to do anything with it. I don't know if I'll pick up the full rulebook or just get the "essential edition" and use the source material out of my first edition book.

I agree. I have been to my FLGS a few times lately and out of 4 or 5 visits I only bought something 1 time (and one book at that).
It's sad that there isn't anything out there that grabs me. Maybe in the near future that will change.

I think the best game I have even been a player in was a traditionally dark/horror CoC game. The gamemaster really captured the mood well.
The only campaign of CoC that I myself ran was really a "pulp" version. It wasn't intentional, but I guess I'm just too much of an Indiana Jones fan and that's what the game kept slipping into. Brawling with evil cult members on top of moving trucks, etc. By the time it fizzled out I felt that I had failed in evoking the right mood for CoC, and I never ran the game again. Now hearing about Pulp Cthulhu, I realize I was just 18 years ahead of my time. :)
Pulp Cthulhu sounds fun, but now I'm too single-mindedly devoted to only running Star Wars D6 to run anything else. I may be interested in getting into a game of it as a player though.

OK, Pulp Cthulhu might just be worthy of "OOH! SHINY!"
I'll have to watch for it.

Well I skimmed through Fires of Amatsumara and the setting is very interesting and I think if the price is reasonable at my FLGS I will pick it up.

Looks like most places have it for around $20 on the Net.

Here's my list so far from 2008:
3:16 Carnage Amongst The Stars
BASH Sci-Fi
Battlestations: Fleet Action
DarkPages
Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space
Exquisite Replicas
Hellas: Worlds of Sun and Stone
Ruby
Thousand Suns
Trail of Cthulhu
Translight
Wild Talents Essential Edition
Some of these have been out for a while, but I haven't picked them up yet - not sure if that counts for this thread, but I'm looking forward to having the spare cash to pick 'em up!

Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space
WHAT?
Another version?
I have the FASA version and the little trade paperback version with "split the difference" mechanics.

Wow, Victoriana looks great. Could it be used as a new version of Orrorsh? I never heard about that one and they tell me it is in 2nd edition now. Layout and artwork are great. But I don't understand why they use that overcomplicated die-system.

I actually had (until I sold it because I would never have used it) Timelord, the Doctor Who game that was in book form.
You can get it for free online (sans art) but I prefer to have hardcopy versions of games. Not a .pdf fan.

The book version is still sought after,
the system is crap but the rest of the book is okay,
I have both versions, the FASA version and this one,
The new one should look very pretty though :)

I actually like the simplicity of TIMELORD, I only wished they had bothered to include rules for character creation.
"JUST WING IT," is insufficient.

They system wasnt great but I wouldn't call it crap. But then its an older system and after some time systems need to be updated. If it were updated and expanded I am sure it would be perfectly good.

I agree. I know there is a supplement out there (available on the same page where you can get Timelord for free) that provides rules for character creation. I agree though, it was a mistake to not provide those rules.
