Gen Con Indy 2010

I thought someone else had posted a thread about this a while back, I couldn't find it. Maybe I was thinking of 2009.

I haven't bought a ticket yet for 2010. And I haven't made arrangements to take off work or stay with my brother-in-law that lives in Indy, but I really would like to go. Mainly because I've never been, and I get the impression that this is the Mecca of gamers. I thought Origins in my hometown last year was incredibly massive, and if Gen Con is supposed to even be bigger and badder, then I may be wowed again. The only one I remember saying that he's going was Jerry Grayson. I'd love to get into a superhero D6 game or Hellas game with him.

Myself and Rosencrantz are going. Already paid for our badges and got a snazy room reserved. I have a blast just wandering around the exhibitors hall, talking to fellow gamers, looking at the costumes, and just having a good time wandering about. Last time I didn't even play a game and still had a great time.

I’ll be at Gencon this year and I’ll be running a few games of HELLAS there. I think there will be other HELLAS games on the roster run by someone else. I wont have a booth this year and I’m relying on another company to sell my junk. As for GODSEND Agenda, if you can find me and I have time I’ll run that for anyone who ask

I booked my room the week after Gencon 2009. Last time I was a 10 minute walk away from the convention center, now It is right outside my front door. I guess I am getting lazier in my old age. But I will be there again.

LOL... We are the same way mate. Paid a premium for the room, but we learned that having a room that connects directly to the event is very nice.

I will definitely attend GenCon this year! It will be my first in the US, too! I am so excited! :D

Due to financial and other realities I've had to give up my dream of going to GenCon this year. I may have a trip to Indianapolis coming in September for a free football game and I don't want to burn my "stay with my wife's relatives for free" card too soon anyway. I will definitely be going to Orgins (http://www.originsgamefair.com/) next week, and am still going to plan for GenClon in 2011.

I'm a Colts fan, and my brother-in-law is a US Army recruiter living in Indianapolis who sometimes gets free tickets to local events, including Colts games. I've seen the Colts play away here in Ohio, but have never seen them play at home yet. He said that if he could get the tix, he would take me to a game and let me stay at his house if it was an early or night game (and with no obligation to sign-up for the Army).

So see my NFL team on the home field live compliments of the US Army? Yeah, I'm gonna jump at the chance. But with two trips to Indy, right now I'm gonna have to go with the less expensive event. Which normally wouldn't be the football game.

With GenCon just over a week away, I hope those who are going have everything settled and are anxiously waiting to go.

I updated the image gallery with some random snapshots of characters that wore roaming about. Go to the GenCon 2010 folder. Will work on the video and give an update of when that is completed.
