Hellsreach,
I was curious if you had considered taking the books you do have at your house/office to any local game cons and trying to sell that off. It could make you a little money and free up space.
Had you considered that?

Local cons a notoriously bad for sales. I used to go often, but when adding up all the ocsts of going to said con, I tended to lose money. This even goes for big cons with GenCon and Origins.

Have you considered online auctions or sales? Maybe as a way to get some money, maybe pay back the pre-orders and get yourself in a better spot?
Not to mention free up some space

Start the bidding at $4.99, and someone is bound to start things off. Of course, even if it only goes for five bucks, then that's five more dollars, and freed up space.

I totally agree, its freed up space and its money that he can eventually put towards paying back the people who pre-ordered Septimus.
Plus I would imagine, not having a lot of stock tying you down might help with the sale of WEG.

Of course, this assumes that one has the time to spend ebaying all of the stuff.

You put the stuff on and check your emails maybe a couple times a day. I am able to ebay stuff and work a full time job and have a good rating.
Not to mention he doesn't have a ton of inventory to worry about (or have to add to the sale of WEG), it frees up space and it provides money to pay the bills and the pay back the people who pre-ordered to bring back some of the good will.

To make the selling of the books more efficient, package them into lots.
Create a 'Fantasy Lot', 'Space Lot', etc. This way, you optimize shipping costs, time spent managing the auctions/online sales and you create additional 'value' in the sale because someone is getting a complete set.
This is the sort of thing that could attract a gamer that doesn't own any D6. If they see a complete package of books at an attractive price, then it could not only generate money, but also free up space AND create a new D6er.
If one goes the eBay route, just avoid the bid method and use Buy-It-Now.
Eric, if you don't have time to manage a task like this, maybe The Gamer Guy could help you out, since you are in the same gaming group now.

To be honest I would be willing to help, no problem.
I had even considered adding zencart or some other kind of online store software to the site to perhaps sell some WEG products directly to the fans.
If Hellsreach is willing I could do it. Maybe start slow and see if there is enough interest.

Well D6, Torg and whatever else Eric has on hand. But I am willing to help him turn the stock into cash to help out his situation (mostly paying back the pre-orders for Septimus).

I know this has not been posted to i the past few months, but, did anything ever come of it?
I mainly ask, because, as I said elsewhere on these forums I am in the process of trying to rebuild my Torg collection. And unfortuneatly not all of the realm books are available through ebay and such to my knowledge. lol.
I actualy have agroup of individuals interested in trying it out once my R&E torg rulebook comes in along with the realm books and a few other things i managed to get off ebay.
I will be trying to revive Torg here in northwest Indiana. Even if only at my local game shop and the convention we help put on every year which is titled Gallows con.
Sorry i am getting long winded. I will ed this post here.
Game on!
