Announcing the Cinema6 RPG Framework to the WEG Fan Community!

We released the Beta Document on 2/18/2010. Changes in the document (from the Alpha):
- Major reformatting for readability
- Several changes to address Cinema Points rules and functionality
- Annotation for Wild Die being an Optional Feature
- Character Random Background Rolling Table added
- Extras (NPCs) section added
- Detailing on Initiative and Initiative Leveraging

Due to some delays with the New England windstorm from Feb. 25th, (a tree fell inside my home, and several of our staff suffered other damages, we also had no power for 3-6 days) we are going to release (in late March) a conversion chart for translation of the various Star Wars RPG Systems for those interested in leveraging c6 for the Star Wars Universe.

As well, a Beta R2 Document will be released soon addressing certain rules concerns:
- Clarifying Character Development & Improvement
- Addressing Player and GM Use Cases
- Addressing modifications for recent game testing via QA Groups
- Addressing minor errata

Upon completing the document and waiting on our artists and layout team to wrap up, we'll be acquiring an ISBN for those looking to acquire a published paper version, however the core c6 document will remain free throughout it's lifetime.

J. Elliot Streeter, Co-Founder, Wicked North Games, L.L.C.

Only had a quick chance to look over it, but this looks like a cool setting. I like the Asceromancers a lot. Thank you!

Thanks, Elliot. Being an old school, hardcore Star Wars GM, I love the cinematic aspect of D6. From perusing the beta document, I can say that I really like some of the things you've done with D6.

A little feedback: Is there any way to change the text font/size/layout? I still have 20/20 vision, but not for long if I tried to read all that tiny print. If the text size was bigger, I think it would even be ok to have less space in between lines.

I realize that you may have been thinking of making this appear to be a nice little tightly-wrapped package with a minimal number of pages to suggest simplicity of use, but I think that the tiny jam-packed print actually foils that intention by making it look more rules-intensive then it really is. And it's just harder to read.

Anyway, please keep us posted on any updates to Cinema6!

As a note, I have limited time to check online, so any feedback on products would be helpful to have on our forums. We are using them as a way of isolating layout, errata, formatting issues, and general rules errors. Please report any thing you notice to us directly if possible: http://www.cinema6games.com/forum or via email: wickednorthgames@gmail.com

You can also check our forums for release information.

We have development blog up as we move forward with our work: http://www.cinema6games.com/blog
