As the topic asks, are you playing a WEG game? Doesn't matter if it is an in-print or out of print game I would like to hear from people who are currently running a game from West End Games.

I've got a long running PBP game of Star Wars going on over at my own forums. The original game started a couple of years ago or so. I've got another over at the Rancor Pit that has been running since 2005, it's on hold at the moment but we've went through two complete adventures and are basically just getting started on the third.

Nothing on a regular basis, but we have a couple of campaigns using the MasterBook System which we get back to a few times a year.

I'm not currently playing or running any WEG games. The last campaign I played was D&D 3.5 (Eberron), because that's what my friends wanted to play at the time.

On the GM side, I've been developing my Star Wars D6, further revised and expanded version of the game at the same time as my smugglers-to-heroes campaign that takes place in the 2 years leading up to A New Hope.

If I play any games before my game is ready to run, then it would probably only be if I could get in on someone else's Star Wars D6 game.

Right now, I am back to GMing Torg again. I have also GMed and played Bloodshadows (MB), Star Wars, Paranoia, Men in Black, Shatterzone, Tank Girl and used MB for Stargate and Babylon 5. I GM Bloodshadows and Torg on every Con I can reach. I just finished reading World of Aden and have begun introducing it into my Torg campaign.

Cool, I played Torg and I really enjoyed it (even though my character could not shoot stright).

Anything about the campaign you can tell us about?

When I get my Star Wars book I want to run it either online or in person (or both).

That has to be one of the few rpg books that I have ever sold that I truly regret selling

I placed it already on another thread here. As I don't know how to link here, I copy it.

World of Aden is a renaissance-fantasy setting that has just been invaded by Horrors (here called Nocturnals). Does that sound familiar?

My Torg group just went into the Nile underworld (as mentioned in the Land Below sourcebook). They fled down a dark pit in hot pursuit of an NPC who they think is a member of the Hellion Court. On the way down they discovered a tunnel and found after some adventures another tunnel they believed would lead them to the Living Land.

Instead they found themselves in a deep pit surrounded by a horde of smaller Nocturnals with big Brother Nocturnal just coming in for reinforcements. Being totally outnumbered they frantically climbed up the pit. There they saw a burning coast and a destroyed barren earth.

That is where we ended yesterday (except that half of the group found the way to the Living Land and are now prisoners of an Edeinos tribe while the others have teamed up with the NPC for now. It starts getting complicated.)

Background: The World of Aden Sourcebook doesn't tell where the Nocturnals came from (maybe the Computer game explains it but I don't have it) but the Burning Coast in Aramyst looks like a good point. I have placed this pit in the Barrens near the devastated town of Reggora.

In my version the Nocturnals where one of the first invasions of Uthorion at the time when he was only a Necromancer with a Darkness Device (addition: yes, I ignore "Interview with evil"). But this invasion failed. The Pit features the remains of a destroyed bridge. Uthorion fled this world but left his hordes of undead and Horrors in Aden.

I am anxious to see how my players will react when they find out. Right now, they discerned that the Pit features remains of a huge stone bridge. But from my description, I believe they think I placed them into Moria

Addition: the characters are a Ninja who was with the NPC before but was left behind, an Orrorsh big game hunter, a Nile Hero with the teleport power (only available when no one watches him) and a Nile Archaeologist complete with whip and fedora.

For shame....

But give him the doubt, he could have been drugged, or held at gun point,

I could do another Ghostbusters PBP here?

Been thinking about running a Tomb Raider PBP game as well, using the orignal core rules D6, (or maybe an edited Adventure)

if more games were run here it would increase the traffic, and give newbies a chance to check out the D6 system

I am going to do that. Try to contact them again and then if nothing happens we will go from there.

Pathfinder,

I had a message forum for play by post games that was dead so I got rid of it.

If you think that you could/would want to run a game here I can set up a forum again.

I will without any doubt run something at some point,

But which game? (Star Wars?, Indy?, Ghostbusters?, Tomb Raider?, or Willow?)

Then there is a matter of players, the last game died because some of them stopped posting, (then waiting, waiting.....dead, same old story common to PBP) this time I think I'll have to vet some how,

But who would be up for this?

PBP's do work, I helped start up the PBP boards over at the DP9 forums (an Aliens game,) and they then started running other games, hopefully if I start running a game others with start running others as well

I am sure we can find people who would be up for it. I would probably be up for playing a pbp game (I am playing one on another forum). I would be cool with Star Wars or Ghostbusters.

Tell you what,
(and this is an idea I had after one too many games over at RPG.NET went and died, both because of players pulling out and not saying anything, and twice because the GM neglected the game)

If you can some how have a wall of shame for bad player and GM's
(I'm not to sure how this would be done right now)

Something like a list of players and GM's, and you could click a name and read the feedback, both good and bad,

When you take part in a PBP game, on either side, player or GM, you make a commitment to everyone involed, its unspoken, but its excepted when you agree to taking part in a game, that you will stick to it until the end (or your end if a player)

Some people think they can break this unspoken agreement, and walk away without any fall out, because right now there is little (the players/GM, will remember, but there are plenty more where they came from right?...)

So, for this agreement to have more gravity and consequence,
we need something like this,

now I know nothing about boards etc, and don't know how doable this would be, but if it could be done people would not join and treat games as throw away, (a diservice to the good players and gms)

Because it would end up damaging their reputation, to the point no one will let them in their game,
