Hi folks,
As I'm new to the system, I have some problems with the Entangle rules, on p. 69 of the D6 Adventure rulebook.
It is said that an entangling weapon does no damage.
Then, it is said that "to break the weapon, he (the defender) must make a Physique/Lifting roll that meats or beats the damage total of the weapon".

Should I understand that the damage total in that case is only the Strength Damage + the Damage bonus (if any)?

Furthermore, what would be the features (damage and range) of a whip, lasso, bolas, net?

Thank you for your replies.

Based on what I read of it, since a Bullwhip is +1D, it would be the strength + damage for the total.

As far as the features- damage and range -of the weapons, the only one that exists in the books (that I can find) is the Bullwhip. As I mentioned, it lists damage as +1D. If you read in D6 Fantasy, it lists that it can entangle someone two meters away.

No mention of lasso, bola or net.

When I created stats for the Bola, I put it at STR+1D. When I made it, though, I had it do both damage and entangle. The range would be whatever the person's throw range is.

As far as the net or lasso, it would depend largely on the type of rope or material that the items are made of. I'd put the strength of those at somewhere around 4D for braided rope of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Rope bigger than that would go upwards in STR. Metal mesh used for a net or something would be even higher.

Hope that helps.
