Since we only got a couple people last time we had a chat get together (though the chat room is easier to access now) I was wondering if there would be any interest in doing it again.

I'd be intrested...... every time I find someone in there it is a good time.

Well, we got more than a couple the last time, but I think they all showed up after you had to take off.
To my recollection there was:
Myself
You
Hellsreach
Nerdron
Kalzazz
Dragonshire Ryan
and I think one other just as I left, but I can't recall for sure.
So I thought it turned out pretty good.
But, sure, I'd be up for another chat "get together". Maybe we could pick a topic so once we get the "hey" "Hey" "Howdy" all done we could chat about something in particular. If not, I guess we can just wing the topics. :)
Again, I think a block of time is better than trying to establish a particular time. If we can have a person or two camped on there for a while we're a lot more likely going to have more people show up over time than just waiting for a particular time and then leaving after half an hour or so.

I enjoyed the chat
Anyway to save chat logs so they can be posted?

That would be a great idea.

I am not sure if you can with the current software. I am looking to upgrade the current chat software to something better

I run a set of Vbulletin forums too, Mike, and I've yet to find a chat program that was worth installing. I used to play SW:G so I have forums for that (which are still active despite nobody in the guild playing it anymore) and I also ran forums for an alliance in EVE for a while until they pissed my corp off and we left and went elsewhere. Sort of stuck me with an unused Vbulletin license, though.
There is an addon that has a load of arcade games, asteroids, space invaders, etc. That rocked. I'm not sure what use it would see here, but on the alliance boards we'd have 5 or 6 playing almost all the time.
The chat software is just too spotty, though. It's not realtime, and feels jumpy. I don't know what program most people use for chat these days, but whatever it is, that would probably be a better choice for real time chat.

I like how the one the Dragonsfoot forum (http://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums) uses displays how many people are in chat from the forum pages, so you dont have to get into the chat to see if there are anyone there at all...

It's an open source software and it is ok, and it may work but I am not sure.
Funny enough it was made to work for a lot of free solutions but Vbulletin is not one of the solutions it mentions. I may need to go to the software's homepage to see if it will work
