While browsing through the Torg folder on my harddrive, I found scans of the Dragon ads which first announced Torg. I actually would like to post them somewhere, if that's ok for Eric and if there's room. I know I could use Flickr et.al., but I actually think this site should be the place. What do you think?

We could do a page with old advertising from past West End Games released games.

That would be pretty easy to do

I think I have a link saved on my other computer where someone had uploaded a product checklist of WEG Star Wars books that may have appeared in products and magazines. But it defintely looks like an advertisement. I'll have to look for that and if the link still works I'll post that here for possible use.

I keep meaning to scan my Dragon Magazine copies from '89 for copies of the Torg ads, but I'm a lazy son-of-a-bitch and have not done it yet. I don't have all of them anyway. Just a couple.

And for reference, Gamebook Advertisements (http://www.gamebooks.org/show_ads.php) which states which issues of Dragon these are from, and which page. This page misidentifies the Star Wars Product Checklist as "solitaire adventures", which is only one small catagory on that page, and the other fails to mention the Assault on Hoth game. I still have Assault on Hoth, and I used to have the Lightsaber Pack game, until I discovered a major endless loop flaw. The game was broken and p'd me off, so I got rid of it.

Thanks for the links. I can use this to get started and when I get more ads from other sources I can work to build the page even more.

It might have been me and I may not have had the time to get to it. There was a point where I got really busy and couldnt get much done.

I appreciate that. I realize that its my fault but I just got busy any couldnt get around to it. Now I am going to have a little more time.

I have downloaded the ads from Magman (Thank You Magman) and I will be working on creating the page today and I hope to have it up today.

Glad to have helped. Just sorry I didn't end up putting them into Thumbnails like I wanted to prior to you copying them.

I also wanted to label them to what dragon magazine they came from so you could have a time line of the ads. Still can be done when I get more time.

What I might do is intead of a regular webpage I may just do a photogallery with all of the pictures. That would solve the problem pretty quick and easy.

I haven't quite decided yet.
